Too Many Recipes!

I just vendor them. Quick cheap coin.

Since my normal daily writ routine for each character always ends with selling unwanted items to my merchant assistant, then depositing coin and anything I'm keeping into my banker assistant before moving on to the next character in line, that routine doesn't change at all and I make a few extra coin.

    Not seeing a downside.

    This is a great reply.

This is not worth worrying about as it has a simple solution. There are only so many recipes, and once we have been doing writs for a while, they will be duplicates.

    So vendor and swipe left.

(...) I learn all the basic recipes on my alts but not usually the purple ones. (...) I just never thought they needed them.(...)
All my alt chars know all the purple recipes. They are accounted to master writ drop chance.

The inventory management of them can be annoying for sure. But as mentioned a couple of times they do help with the acquisition of master writs and the provisioning ones sell better than most.

Spent two days prepping for this event and making space and will likely take another 3-4 afterwords to get everything back to where I like it lol.

I like them. Free recipes for all my alts. Can also give them to guildies etc.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

I started to learn these on my other characters and realized most of them already knew a lot of them. I must have learned them in the past before I had a dedicated crafter I now learn everything on.

I agree from the perspective of 2025 ESO, though turning a hand up at free money (all of 9g!) could be defended as ungrateful. ESO today: lose 'em. But it wasn't always that way. In the first two years, there were even more mats--I know what you thinkin-- hell nah!-- they did add to the different alliances (AD, EP, DC) being distinct. When you got them in a dungeon (the only way to do so I think before completing the main quest and going on to Cadwell's silver/gold) it made you hungry (figuratively) to see what was around the next corner of the grind.

Thanks for this thread! I wondered why suddenly purple recipes were not selling in the guild traders.

So during this event I should learn the purple recipes that drop on all my alts, and then vendor any left over.

I hand them down the add chain of my 13.
Motifs mostly sell for couple of 1000 gold with a few exceptions. It been the case for many years now.
Remember my first event came in with couple of thousand gold and walked out with 5 millions.
Spent 2 million on key fragments for spell power cure gear and got the resto staff
But got an Aetheric Cipher this year who is fun 😺
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I recently downloaded a really neat add-on called Character Knowledge, and learned that my crafter knows 74% of the recipes in the game. It’s really rare for me to get a recipe I don’t know from any source anymore and now I know why.

My Arcanist didn’t exist this time last year so he appreciates getting his purple recipe knowledge filled out. Any purples which drop that all my characters know get shoved in the guild bank, and greens and blues that are known by all get vendored.
