    I beg to differ. This template only version is not going to cut it. People will be done with it within a week, even those that say they love it now. No diversity and no skill gap possible for the most part so what's the point? As it is now someone who's never created a build or played PvP are just as strong as those of us who have over 20k hours into the game.

    It is a test. A one week test. The fact that no broken sets or exploits can happen is absolutely amazing.

    You guys complaining about lack of options on what campaign to play are missing the point. The Vengeance Campaign is a test to see why the game lags the way it does. The best way to do so is to perform a stress test, meaning you cram in as many people as you can so you see what the system can handle.

    If BR and GH were still around, barely anyone would use the Vengeance Campaign, making the test pointless.

    idk if u can understand but we pay money here, my sub is still ON but i dont have server to play for a week...there is test server PTS for this work..Do you think I'll put money in again after this? and I also don't go into the forum (every day)..I woke up one morning and there's no server to play on.

    They have been planning and discussing this for months, but I can agree that each iteration comes with late announcement. The PTS rollout didn't have much information and caused some chaos as well. It would be nice to have a system to create an announcement when you load into the zone that things are different because honestly most people have become acclimated to the pop up and tune it out and from what I gather very few people use the forum and some don't even have forum accounts. A ton of people thought their characters were broken and people had to explain over and over and over and over....in zone chat.

    Not a ton of players were prepared for this. I was because I guess I'm in the forum minority and people thought I was a conspiracy theorist when I tried to talk about it in pvp zone chat.

    The devs stated in their short dev stream (if someone has the link) on the tests back during the PTS cycle, that they cannot replicate the server load caused by players on the live servers via using bots on the PTS. The only way they had to get accurate data from this test was to run the test on the live servers and get as many players as possible into that campaign. Something that cannot happen if the regular campaigns were left running.

    If I had to guess as to why the bots don't work, I'd say the bots simply cannot perform the same reactionary, preparatory and preventative actions/decisions/mechanics that players perform during combat and as such it's impossible to replicate large groups on the PTS (even more so considering the vast majority of players probably don't even know about the PTS, let alone have installed/use it making it super unlikely to even get enough players onto the PTS to perform the tests on the PTS without resorting to bots).

    Sorry to hear that, but they announced this months ago. They posted it to many different platforms, too.

    And this is how we know how unpopular the Vengeance campaign will be when it goes live. People, including ZOS, already realize people won't play this template only version if they can play the real thing instead.

    I pay ESO+ sub, too, and I don't mind helping the developers out to improve the performance of the game. Yes, some people may not like the Vengeance campaign, but it needs to happen. ZOS is collecting data, and I hope they can figure out what's causing people to lag. I have hopes, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. The developers need our cooperation to help them out, so let's be proper citizens of Tamriel and give them a helping hand, yes?

    Agree with OP this should have been optional. Agree with respondents that many warnings were given. ZOS had to make it mandatory because this mode is so unappealing that they wouldn't have had enough players to load test the servers unless they made it the only option. The only people celebrating this are the ones that have wanted pure death match for 10 years while IC sat empty and BG queues were long because most people don't actually want that.

    Vengeance is more populated than grey host and blackreach despite many players from grey host and blackreach skipping vengeance without even giving it a try. When they made vengeance optional it would maybe be empty of players from grey host and blackreach and players you know but filled with many new/casual/pve/competitive players without pvp builds that dont play PvP predecided by builds.

    Turn Greyhost and Blackreach back on, if those campaigns are dead and everyone is in Vengeance lemming Cyrodiil then that's what the people want. Until then, my point is 100% valid.

    We have Imperial City: No siege, great open areas to fight in, and no players. We have battlegrounds: fast re-spawns, tight objective based gameplay in closed quarters - and 15 minute queues.

    What you want is quake champions, and there is already a game for that. Easy answer here is enable both modes and see what people gravitate towards.

    Lets try and find out if vengeance stays populated.

    probably also because of feedback from many PvPers claiming nobody including themself would use Vengeance and zos listened to feedback exceptionally as they looked for feedback for test.

    With vengeance regularly full with 100 queue in the evening small part of 100-200 players per alliance PvPing in Greyhost(60-80 players cap, XX queue) or Blackreach(same capacity, 50-100% full) that would have neither tested vengeance anyway nor skip it now despite Greyhost closed does not make a difference.

    And this is how we know how unpopular the Vengeance campaign will be when it goes live. People, including ZOS, already realize people won't play this template only version if they can play the real thing instead.
    You/ZoS did not know/realize that itwill be unplayed and unpopular but falsely assumed it would be
    The template is more played and popular than GH.

    Im sure those people who are skipping out are ballgroup players. they can't win fights without combining broken sets and using cheesy tactics to get easy kills. They also can't hold keeps hostage anymore for their AP farming.

    I'm going to miss the vengeance campaign when it goes away. I never had this much fun in years in Cyrodill.

    I'm sure you are wrong. The most detailed and accurate feedback being posted about vengeance mode is coming from the PvP regulars.
