Armour Style Motiefs

Am I the only one that thinks these are not readily enough available? I have been playing since day one, and I have only found 1 Motief in all the time I have been playing.

From what I understand they are only available in Dressers, Drawers and Bedside tables, but it is rare to find ones which have not already been used. For instance for every 20 houses I would enter, I would find 3 or 4 Drawers, Tables or Dressers which are not empty.

Is this something the Developers would consider revisiting?

Well they just lowered the drop rate because of people logging out after clearing a house and logging back in resetting the place to find all the motif's. So they made it harder to farm them. So doubt they will be revisiting it anytime soon

I wish they would revisit it, make them bound to account, but unlock them accountwide, that would do me.

No they decided that it would be better for the exploiters to make hundreds of thousands of gold or hundreds of real dollars from these items, rather than have every player able to make things look as we want.

Sometimes I have a feeling that we play different game. I do not play from day 1, I do not logout and reopen respawned containers, I do not often go to houses at all. I do not go out of my way to get motifs at all. All I do is loot containers in the banks and some houses I visit on a regular basis like enchanting/alchemy house in Wayrest. Despite all that I got all non-rare motifs on both of my crafters and about 8 extra that I sold. Most of these came from Bank of Daggerfall and Bank of Vulkhel Guard.

To be honest it seems like they drop too often, makes no sense to know all races styles before even hitting 20 in level and 10 in smithing or clothing.

This is what pisses me off the most about ZoS changes/fixes, they rarely punish those who exploit then hurt those who havent exploited... Chances are those exploiting aren't going to sub for very long.. Where as those taking it slow and enjoying the content will be loyal subscribers but with lil rewards because of bot and exploit fixes why should us casual loyal subscribers stick around...

    Fix this Zenimax....

I wasn't saying that I was running around only looking for them, but it's random at best.

When doing quests and so on I will check dressers, night stands, and tables. What I am saying is that most of the time 90% of the time someone has already used it to recently and its empty. You are lucky if you have found more then a couple, as all my friends report 3 at most since they started playing. While guys advertise it in-game for enormous amouts 35k etc. Its a question of demand versus supply

why do we need +100 threads about this? its been discussed to death and even the makers of the game has made official statement of it?

    just asking

Thank you, I should not have been able to get all 10 basic races(im an imp) before the first week is up. I even held out until i found them cheap

Because they don't seem to be hearing us.

And we want things to change, so until they are changed these threads will continue to be made (or the population who cares will die off, whatever happens first).

they aint gonna change it, just because you say so especially when they already said in an official statement why they did it, the motifs aint suppoes to be everyones, either look for it every day and hope for it or buy them...

No, it needs to change. They need to make the motifs very common (this will stop the ability of exploiters and goldsellers to sell these items and make stupid amounts of money off them), or bind them to account on pickup so they can't be sold at all.

u just dont get the point, exploiters are gone now that you cant farm them and sell them for gold, so the gold sellers are going away as well from this ascept of the game, since again they cant farm it.

yeah maybe they have farmed some already due the patch, so what, thats only a few people, now the rest of the game "forever" wont be exploited with this anymore.

YOU don't get it. Because of the bots and exploiters now this is a whole part of the game denied to most normal players. The game is less fun because looking in boxes only nets us lockpicks. They made the game less fun, and let the goldsellers and exploiters make a TON of cash.

its never been the fact that everyone should have the motifs so fast, this game is a marathon game, and you shouldnt get/have all the great things right out of the box.

so no, normal players havent been denied anything, the bots and farmers has found a loophole, and thankfully ESO closed it.

Yes normal players have been denied things, because they're not the ones logging in and out to maximise chance to obtain items.

If ZOS wants us to mimic the exploiters and goldsellers (logging in and out) in order to gain a greater chance to find a motif book or recipe from the game in its post-nerfed state then the issue is in the game design itself.

Maybe that's what we're meant to be doing to get back our 0.000000001% chance to find a crafting book - exploit the game and log in and out same as exploiters/bots were doing before.

I think you can find them in pretty much anything but crates and barrels, I've found em in jug/urns in dwemer ruins, trunks, dressers, cabinets, tables. I think across all my characters I've found maybe 10. The most I have unlocked on any character, including the one that comes with a char, is 6.
Gimme back my sweetroll or so help me

The goldfarmers disagree, they're readily available from their websites. It's like a candy shop in there.

Maybe you haven't found one because you're looking for Motiefs instead of Motifs.

Seriously? Are you telling me that you could not draw a logical conclusion because of one character. You think you're smart by pointing something like that out, but in actual fact you just make yourself look a fool.

If you're not adding to the discussion, just move on.

I aggree it's not items which are suppose to be as readily available as other items in the game, but it's being exploited making the odds of finding them even less.

I seem only to get green recipies if the cabinets etc are not empty already.

Never ever looted a motif since the changes and i play around 8 hours a day every day and loot whatever cabinet etc i can find.

It's got to the point were i've seen people wanting to buy Daedric motif's for around 100-200K.

I am for the idea to make the motifs account bound.
