--PLZ FIX ASAP-- Weapon Swap/Ability Lag

This has been an issue from the start of the game. The inconsistency of using your abilities and swapping is extremly frustrating. This is the #1 issue imo. This needs to be fixed ASAP, cmon Zenimax, I love the game but man this is getting rediculous. Having lag in your combat in any game should be addressed immediately. The laggiest ability so far is impulse. When you press the button the ability can fire 1-3 seconds later!

Even better is when you hit impulse and your char sticks his staff in the air, you lose the mana, but the effect doesn't even happen and the mobs take no damage.

I can say I have noticed this myself and it happens quite often. Hope this thread does get Dev attention.

I agree with you guys completely, this is unacceptable Zenimax. This is the only real complaint I have in this game, I have delt with the bugs, the infinite loading screen but this, I cant. How can you not have a smooth combat in an mmorpg, bad combat=bad game, especially when you pvp. PLZ FIX ASAP ZENI

Yeah it's so annoying and dissapointing. I thought it's a latency problem or maybe my computer not good enough. Fix it if u can, and tell u know that this problem is exist?

I agree - weapon swapping is a common issue for me and needs to be looked at. There are too many things that actually stop the swap, sometimes I wind up standing there through half a mob fight waiting on the swap. (ranged to melee) I don't like to fight ranged if I'm surrounded, but when in battle it seems any action and a lot of the time just getting hit will cancel or ignore my weapon swap. Attempted solution - spam the swap... but that usually winds up double swapping when it actually goes through so I'm still stuck on ranged.
- I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a game breaker though.

It's just very frustrating, you need a fluid combat system, especially in pvp. The double swap is very annoying and has led me to many deaths pve and pvp. This needs to be addressed and fixed.

Or the swap doesn't happen then you spam it and it finally happens just to cycle back over to the weapon you didn't need...

It works perfectly in GW2. Therefore it can work perfectly here. Nothing at all should stop weapon swaps happening instantly.

I don't get weapon swap lag. I just get weapon never switches unless I hit it 20 times while not doing anything else then it'll switch 2x and really f me up lag.

yeah..... i havent hammer fisted my keyboard in a LOOOOOONG time. this bug broke that record, and i almost lost the ESC key. theres another thread about this, and i will say here what i said their- i love this game, but this is for sure game breaking for me. only reason i still have access is because i was too late on the (rage)cancel.

Yeah, that's weapon swap lag. Also have had it sometimes just take forever to do it, before finally doing it awhile later. This is probably the #1 control-related issue for ESO's combat right now and has needed fixing for a very long time.

Agreed. This needs to be fixed.

At the moment I am sticking to one weapon at a time, not taking advantage of the weapon swap. It's just too inconsistent: sometimes there's no issues at all, and then all of a sudden it takes AGES, and when it finally switches it switches right back again due to me pressing the button too many times since I am usure if the first press registered..

Lost too many people in dungeons and PvP due to this, foolishly thinking I'd be safe to switch to my utility bar and then back to healing again.

Yes its the #1 issue so far imo and I have not seen this addressed so far from Zenimax... For the love of God, please fix the weapon swap/ability lag like impulse!

Agreed. As it is, I only weapon swap out of combat.What is the point of a weapon swap if not doing it in combat?

As a sorc i am using Impulse and Equilibrium on the same spot on different bars. Can you image how many times i died when a weapon swap went wrong and i ended up spamming equilibrium instead of impulse?

Weapon swap works terrible, please fix it! Combat feels really unresponsive and unsatisfying when you cant switch weapons when you need to.

This is definitely an issue that has cause me a few deaths. I feel the exact same way about the dodge mechanic as well. These things need to happen flawlessly every time.
