PLEASE increase Sovereign Sow fragments with upcoming Jesters Festival

I destroyed a lot of the items I got because I don't need or want them, and sold some.

But I am liking the furnishings I'm getting! I'm going to use them to fix up a Jester house for my mime houseguest!

... Compared to supposedly guaranteed curated 1/day drop, it's still way less chances (especially when you consider that unlike other events, you can't get unlimited boxes, and if you don't have a ton of characters to grind, you might still not get them).

Definitely should have been made at least available in the ticket store and/or tradeable.

There are maximum 49 boxes a single character can obtain this event (6 dailies x 8 days, plus one from the intro quest).

So for a reasonable expectation (i.e., not having to grind more than ONE character), in 49 events, to get at least 7 fragments with 95% probability (1 in 20 players still doesn't get them), the drop rate should be at least 22.75%.

To get them with a 99% probability (1 in 100 players still doesn't), the drop rate should be at least 27.21%.

... So far, it seems to be FAR lower than that.

@ZOS_Kevin -- this is going to be at least FOURTH event where players CANNOT expect to get the sow. Looks like it's a high time to either get it just made available from the impressario assistant, or in some other way (and not during the NEXT Jester's Festival).

Hopefully you get it this year dude. I remember wanting it way back in the 2nd jesters fest and never collecting enough to make it. Fingers crossed this years the year.

I think my main's RNG is just cursed. After all these years I have 2 pig fragments (got those Year 1). Today's boxes I got 5...yes five...copies of the green Princess Delight recipe.

I don't even really want the pig but that drop rate is insane.

I agree that the drop rate is still too low. I only got one fragment after 4 hours of doing event quests yesterday. At first I thought the drop rate had been increased, but I think it was just because now I had more than 1 chance a day.

I really don't understand why it is so hard to get an event pet, especially when I hear it wasn't at first.

I have one (1) fragment to this date, and I'd be happy to be able to buy the rest with tickets... I don't have the mental or physical stamina to grind quests for hours for the chance to drop one fragment. Still need 6 of them and not getting the pet this year either. I'd want it just for completion's sake as it annoys me to have that one fragment haunt my fragment category forever. XDDD

Pig fragments work kinda like old BG pages used to - they are not curated and you can roll duplicate that you won't even see, it will appear like box with no special item in it. So the more fragments you have collected, the less likely it is you will get new one. That's why it might seem to be good drop rate at first.

I really don't understand why these aren't purchasable with tickets, especially after all these years. It's not a radiant apex mount, or an exclusive furnishing, or a piece of gear that would give an advantage to the player. It's a cute pig pet. WHY does it have to be so hard to obtain?

Lol I gave up on the sow years ago, I don't even engage with this event other than one quest for tickets at this point. It needs a refresh imo, and yeah the sow has been around so long that it's absolutely time to put the fragments on the vendor or otherwise make them available to people.

Like every new event thing, fragments were purchasable with event tickets when they were originally released. Like this year, you can buy mimicry pages with tickets, next year you won't have this option.

FINALLY! I got the last fragment I needed today after doing 18 quests. I just hope they increase the drop rate so others can get their pig, too!

I don't think I've gotten a sow fragment in the last 3 years. I don't remember how many I have, because I gave up long ago. I'd love an increased drop rate. I usually do all the quests on 2-3 toons a day.
ETA: I'd love an option to buy the fragments with tickets as well.

You can go to Collections then Fragments and look under Sovereign Sow to see which you have and which you still need.

In my guild my bad RNG luck is legendary. But still, I have done all the jesters quests on multiple characters every day and I have gotten zero (0) fragments. In total, over the years, I have two (2) of them. So still missing plenty.

I think I will give up. My favourite event is jesters festival. I love all things clown/jester/harlequin/fool. My main is modelled after The Fool from Robin Hobbs books. I have a jester's hat tattoos.

I grinded all the other achievements for this quest the first day on the first year I played this game. And have been doing that diligently every subsequent year.

But those pig pet fragments will not drop. Even this year when they can drop from the purple boxes.

My conclusion is that my RNG luck is not good enough to ever get the pet. I have to confess that while I have a lot of patience for this game, this is my favourite topic of all ESO events, this drop chance is just abhorrent. This is the first time in my whole ESO gaming career that I am considering giving up.

And the final slap in the face is I have completed everything from other events. The only thing missing is this pig from my favourite event. And even now when purple boxes "have a chance" to drop the fragments, nothing. Nada. Zilch.

While I appreciate that this may be frustrating, I do not think it rises to the level of being a “slap in the face.”

Got my last fragment!! I ended up getting 4 fragments in total just today. I don’t know if I was just lucky but seems like pretty good RNG. Had to grind all day and do all the quests on 8 toons but I’m glad I have her now👑🐷

The jesters festival is the shortest event with tickets that we have. And the drop rates are horrible considering that. Can we please either have better drop rates on the collectibles or a standard event length to compensate?
