Visions/verses timer?

I just got a phonecall and didn't have time to pick up my vision after completing the boss fight (important call).

Went to collect my vision and it wasn't possible; this isn't the first time this has happened.

Could you please remove the timer.

Live a little love a lot send all your gold to this Imperials pot.

What's with snarky replies? You can get an important phone call from work or family on your latest and greatest iPhone 7G 9000X. If you focus on talking to person on phone for a few minutes, your Vision choice should not time out.

If getting a Vision is so earth-shatteringly important, can one not hold the phone to one's ear with one's shoulder for just a second in order to grab the Vision?

It's not earth-shatteringly important, but given the entire nature of the one-and-done infinite archive runs, why is there even a timer on visions in the first place?

This is reality for many of us living outside mobile/cell phone coverage. I live on the fringe of reception and require my phone to be in another room to get a signal.

I empathise with the OP and would also like the Visions/Verses timer extended to infinity.

I can't understand some foolish comments.

When it's not the phone, then it could me something else.
I liked to play IA with my gf too and tried to reach high ranks.
Often we are in there for 8 or more hours for a run and of course you have to sort stuff besides in RL too. If we are hungry, then we are like "after the next Thoat we are going to eat something". So we killed Thoat and finally got our break. Once we came back from our dinner, we noticed, that we didn't used our Vision and it was gone too, as we just seeked for the break.

And every Vision is very important on higher levels.

So of course Visions/Verses shouldn't expire for no reason and even better: add a damn save option.

I don't understand why you wouldn't pick up your Vision or Verse immediately after clearing the stage. The timer is there so that you won't wait there indefinitely for a portal to spawn because your co-op partner forgets to or intentionally neglects to pick up a Verse or Vision.

I've had the phone ringing during a cycle boss fight and have to snatch it up immediately so as not to miss the call after combat is done. Fortunately for me It's never been a call that was so important I couldn't step away for a moment, or lasted so long that I timed out. But I can see how it could happen.

Real life always comes first. I can see how you might have to go AFK during a boss fight, but that leaves only two options:
        1. The boss dies, giving your group access to a Vision.
        2. The boss does not die, meaning you don't get to pick a Vision just yet.
Scenario 1 is most likely to happen only if you have another player in your group. In that case, the timer is for their benefit, so they can continue the run while you're still AFK.

Though it'd be pretty impressive if you were actually alone and it was your build and/or Companion build that killed the boss while you were AFK. In that case, the expiration timer helps no one.

Yes, there is a timer on selecting a vision/verse. Have noticed this a few times when I went to the bathroom and came back to no longer being able to select a vision/verse. The timer seems to be about 3-5 minutes.

This is why I now always select a vision/verse before I go afk. Not ideal, but not the biggest problem in the world. I do get how annoying it can be when you are in a long IA run and miss a vision or verse because of this timer, as these can really help in a long IA run.

PS: Same timer applies to the reward chest at boss stages, loot those first also before going afk. Learned this the hard way as well.

This happened to me too. I either took a quick 2 minute bio break or was looting urns before I went to pick up the verse. I never imagined that the verse offering would just go away.

It was one of the mob cycles and not one of the boss battle stages.

        No, not in this case.

It was the reply on a medical test that I had been waiting for. Waiting for this result was stressful. So any call was answered swiftly and was way more important than what was happening in game.

There are areas in the game where timers make sense.

        This isn't one of them.

So you can skip a vision or even move forward much, much later in the archive.

        ETA

Also so you advance if a duo partner afks.

I'm sorry that call messed up your vision. The timing of that really sucks! It's too bad there's no way to reclaim your vision if it times out and you haven't advanced to the next stage yet. I think that would do a lot to help with situations like these without subjecting people to afk trolls or messing up gameplay in later arcs.
