Like yes, people will do irrational and illogical things, even believe they are in the right, but it wasn't portrayed that well? It's a super one-dimensional approach at writing characters and stories that deal with such a dilemma.
It does give me High Isle Vibes again, to the likes of "The Alliance War needs to stop bc of all the power-hungry leaders and unnecessary bloodshed... so I will become a power-hungry leader and cause unnecessary bloodshed". Feels like this is supposed to be another attempt at a Three Banners War plotline.
So...the antagonist for the Exiled Redoubt wants to end the war because he lost his son, which I understand. So, in order to prevent more families from losing their children, he...kills the children of families so that they will join his cause to end the war so that...no more families have to lose their children?
Umm, what? Am I missing something here?
