Shake up CP ZOS

ZOS, at CP3600 should I destroy my experience scrolls as they will never ever be used? If you know then suggest, if not don't guess :).
OR
PLEASE 'Shake it up' and create a new cap of CP9000 and also re-calculate each level from 1 (technically everyone should get their CP reduced) so that each levels also becomes quite increasingly longer to get to. Like in Skyrim.

Haters of my suggestion also welcomed to comment.

They already did a massive rework on cp and unfortunately made leveling too easy. I was cp 1700 before the change and now new players are up in the 2000s. Considering there are other systems so far out of balance I doubt they will return to work on cp any time soon.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
      • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
      • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

You will still want them to level new toons from 1-50, so there is always that.

Aside from that, there are very few CP 3600 players out there, so I don't think it makes sense to recalibrate the game for a small number of players.

That being said, I don't really like the new champion point system because the slottable system makes it so you have relatively little to no benefit beyond CP 1600 (the amount of Champion points you need to have 4 slottables maxed in each tree). As a CP 2500, that means I haven't achieved any appreciable growth in power in approximately 1000 levels. It would be nice to have more non-slottable champion point slots that can give you some benefit, even if it is something innocuous, such as improved sustain.

the amount of work to rebalance the game for new players, returning players, and those that regularly play would be astronomical.

Even though the cap is high right now its very understandable that its capped where its at.

No thanks. Just make the green tree passive (I think some progress is coming next patch but make the whole thing passive IMO) and leave the rest alone. We've already had one big CP change. It is what it is, and yes once you have about 1400 CP you don't really need any more as you can cover 4 slottables and all the passives, but changes here need endless rebalance across everything, and I'd prefer to see development effort going somewhere more impactful.

I mean, on one hand this is probably a fairly low effort change.

On the other hand it appeals to exactly 5 people, takes things away from the player, and increases the vertical height of a game that's pretty hard committed to horizontal progression at this point.

I rate this a bad game design out of 10.

By new I obviously mean time played. For instance I have a friend that just started another account 4 months ago and he is already at 1400cp. The xp farming available is so free compared to before.

Looking at it the other way, ESO is in a great spot for new players to get in and get straight to content. It really only takes a weekend to get to 160+ and farming gear.

Honestly, that progression becomes hampered way earlier given that you can max out the items for your Champion Bar and any CP passives you might need by what, 1200 CP or something? I forget the exact number, but it further diminishes the value of Champion Points.

Regarding hiding levels and Champion Points, not sure why this is presenting issues for anyone. However, competitors like EQ and others had tools early on for hiding character info (race, class, level). Some sort of anonymous, private, or RP mode wouldn’t be unreasonable.

I haven't met or even see many 3600 CPs wandering around when I'm logged so, I'd dare say that's kind of an overplay issue, honestly.

That's something GW2 had in the past (don't know nowadays as I stopped playing) but, every time the company released new stuff, players rushed hard to complete them in a week or less, and then they complained there was nothing else to do.

A new CP cap should be in the millions with a similar exp curve as we have now(just expand the current system), ZOS should have done this when they created CP 2.0. As it stands CP 2.0 is fun and alright, but insufficient for the longterm.

PS: Exp should never be lost, gone, or deleted when the CP system is changed/expanded.

According to UESP, you need 1,855 to unlock the 4 most Expensive Slottables and all the Passives. Plus what ever you have spent in the Stars you have to start to unlock to get to all the Passives. I am guessing about 1950 to 2000 CPs.

With the changes to the Green Tree, I will be putting more points into that Tree as we get more Passives, then maybe 2100?

In theory, to unlock all passive perks and the most expensive four active perks 793 points for Craft, 542 points for Fitness and 520 points for Warfare are needed. This however is based purely on the numbers in the above tables and neglects reachability (e.g. "Bastion" must be unlocked before "Arcane Alacrity" can be unlocked) of the perks, so the actual points needed ingame might be a bit higher.

I think that CP cap should be raised so you can at least unlock all passives/slottables in each tree. Raising the CP cap would give people that are that constant CP "grind" more leveling to do.

Having more CP allows you to have access to more slottables instead of spending gold on respec, or having to use the armory system so much.

I'd like to see more passives in each tree. Update 45 will give us that in the green tree.

I think that people that have done the work to get their CP should be able to benefit from that. There's a lot of time and effort into leveling CP.

Before all of that, I think they should see who reaches CP3600 in the Badlands, then fix the issues they already know about. After that, when people can no longer take advantage of something broken, then, yeah, remove the cap.

I'm curious what this broken way is...
