Why are there Gold Spammers in 45-50 Coldharbor?

I'm standing here in the Hollow City watching scads and scads of gold spammer bots running from the Wayshrine to the center of the city. I mean, it's a solid, constant stream. How are they getting here? Why aren't you doing anything about this Zenimax? This is nuts.

I honestly don't know , whats the allowable limit for bots at any given time at any given zone by ZOS. If you ever won a lottery - you might get lucky here and get a response from a customer service rep or (if you won lottery twice) a GM.

They are there because nothing is being done about them... now shut up and buy the Imperial Edition or the 20$ horse already.

I don't understand why ZO fails to fight the bots in the real battle... instead of relying on player reports and then MAYBE banning them one by one... you should do it large scale. First off, no bot acts alone...

you need to track where they send their stuff (gold, materials, whatever) ... then track where those send it until it reaches somewhere like bot-bank kind of thing. BAN the entire chain, not just the single runners. Cut off the head of this ***. Ou and... I am quite sure mayority of those bots play from the same IP / IP range ... figure it out, see who else is playing from the IP, if the accounts are in ANY WAY related to actual bots, like sending items/gold/whatever back and forth between them, ban them all! Ban the IP / IP ranges. If few legit players get banned in the process I would call it sad collateral, but in the long run it should help community more. If you don't want to ban IP ranges outright then at least put some serious surveilance on the accounts being played from those IP-s and track their every move.

Isn't buying gold or stuff like this from bots and goldsellers illegal by TOS? If it isn't it should be and ban everyone who ever got any gold from them... and accepted it (just in case bots start randomly sending gold to everyone)...

use your creativity... just banning 30 bots out of 12378937589347598374589 is not going to help anyone in the big picture.

I already bought the Imperial Edition....for the horse.

    Only plebeians walk! >.>

But a very nice Gamemaster showed up and started punching all of those nasty bots. And then they all went away. <3 Thank you nice gamemaster! :D

    How are they getting here?
Travel to player. All they needed was one character to make it there the old fashion way.
    ;-)

There really needs to be a level limit on being able to do that.

That mass of bots and the bots that were punched by the GM were probably created by the dev's to make us think they were actually doing something about the scumbots. I wouldn't put it past these clowns.

ZOS is making their money from game sales. Why care about the real gamers who already purchased the game and are now only paying $15/month?

The gold selling sites purchase a $60 game (on stolen credit cards numbers) use it for the free 30 days then buy a new game (on stolen credit cards numbers) rinse and repeat.

They are pocketing more money from the gold sellers than from the real gamers.

So a low-level character can travel to player into the highest-level zones <boggle>?

I reported three bots out of a group near the Everfull Flagon the other day ... but to be honest it detracts from gameplay a little. :s

I'm confused and not sure what you're asking. If you're asking, can low level players port into the highest-level zones by traveling to a friend, the answer is yes.

If you're asking whether I'm proposing allowing them to do that, uh, no. I'm saying they should not be able to do so (i.e. there needs to be a level limit on where you can port using Travel to Friend).
