It was said they would revamp/rebalance alchemy and cooking...

Any word on this? Making it more streamlined with the hybridization changes that happened a while back.

I would also like to add some toughts on cooking especially. How about some new recipies? Magic Dishes/Drinks. That for instance instead of adding only stats like hp/stam/mag and recovery stats, it also or instead added some stats and then like weapon and spelldmg, critical chance, penetration, speed or armor. Just a tought to spice up cooking.

What disappoints me with Provisioning is the lack of creativity. They could attach any number of unique buffs to all these redundant recipes they keep adding. Like say a food/drink that buffs pickpocketing chance, or one that reduces fall damage. How about a food/drink that increases chance to gather furnishing materials? A food/drink that gives you skill cost reduction? The possibilities are endless.

What I would really like are:
    • A "favourite" option, with corresponding filter entry for recipes
    • A "player level only" filter entry for recipes

That would make the existing cooking UI immensely.more usable.
They can add new recipes after they've done that!

    When did they say that?

But that'd be dope. But it would be a tall, tall order. If they approach it in the manner of trying to give every food it's own effect, and then approaching each meal as though combining the effects.

If they wanted to make it less.... Extensive while instead building on top of it...

They could try a form of "Food Alchemy" where you can combine Foods together (Meals) and Drinks together (Mixer) or Perhaps both together (Feast) that combines effects and Potentially adds new effects based on the Dish Type/Drink Types used. Sidestepping the ingredients themselves in favor of the smaller Dish Type category.

But that might just result in more bloat in the system.

And a whole refresh is another story. hmm.

Pack Leader's Bone Broth reduces the cost of the Werewolf Transformation Ultimate (as well as its morphs) by 5%. It doesn't outright say that on the tooltip, though — the wording is "If you are a werewolf, the rich marrow will also slightly ease your transformation." — which is unfortunately very vague.

Long ago, that drink used to reduce the cost of all Werewolf abilities by 5%, but only while you were already transformed (meaning you never benefitted from the cost reduction to the Ultimate).

It'd be nice if that drink could reduce the cost of all Werewolf abilities again.

I really like this idea. Could also incorporate a buff like minor protection or minor berserk if you can't fit those buffs on your bar and want to have a different focus with other skill set ups.

How about plant based options without funky animal parts included in the recipe so our toons can be fully vegan. You have this option for many alchemy recipes. bugloss flower and mountain flower for a health recipe and so on. Food and drink should get the same considerations.

Yeah, I'm aware, and I think it is sad they don't do more stuff like those event recipes but available in other areas of the game year-round. My thoughts on that example was to provide players with a food or drink that offers general ability cost decrease (excluding ultimates) as an alternate to boosting recovery.

There's just not a lot of real choices for players to get creative with currently.

I'd like to see recipes with an elemental resistance buff too. Going to face frost damage? Eat up that warm hearty stew for frost resistance. Going to face fire? Drink down that icy mead.

    Get creative.

Perhaps these new recipes, in addition to unique benefits, could be found in ways that uniquely tie into each zone. For example, the effect from the giants' cheeses in Western Skyrim would make for a rather unique food buff, if made into a recipe. I'd imagine you could find it through picking up a lead after getting the achievement.

Then you could have others, like a recipe you get from looting dragons that grants buffs while fighting bosses.

I hadn’t heard that Provisioning is going to be revamped, but one thing I think might be neat is if the effects or type of buffs would be determined by the specific ingredients, such as Apples having a few specific potential effects, Red Meat having a few specific potential effects, etc., similar to Alchemy ingredients. Then the particular buffs from a food or drink would depend on its ingredients, and the number of ingredients would affect how many different buffs could be obtained as well as their durations or strengths.

Of course, I doubt any changes of that magnitude could be implemented at this point in time, but it might have been interesting if it had been designed that way from the get to.

One provisioning recipe that really needs an update is the Hissmir Fish-Eye Rye. It was originally supposed to enhance fishing by telling us which holes were which, to take the guessing game out of the bait type needed. They then decided to make that feature base game as this element really didn't add much to the fishing activity. Now, that recipe is entirely outdated. I think it should give us an increased chance to catch the basic fish. Or maybe it could work like plentiful harvest for fish.

The problem is, and Zos might not come out this direct and say it, but with each thing they add that has calculations they just compound their performance issues. I'd imagine internally there is a hard stop on the old approach of adding these complex things to the game and a shift in mindset on how they work - both in game and on the server.

What about debuffs? Eat Baked Apples and you get -5% healing gained because they keep the doctors away.

Eat too much red meat and you get gout, reducing movement speed.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
