People in this thread seem to fundamentally misunderstand the point of balancing pve and PvP separately, it’s not really the sets that are the issue but rather skills.
There are many skill in the game that are very very powerful in PvP bcs they give easy access to buffs or some form of stacking damage. (like molten whip or assassins will). In pve these skills are often not a problem or potentially even underwhelming, so pve players can’t understand why we want them nerfed since they see no issue.
Separation of pve and PvP is more about fixing class balance and preserving class identity and fair counterplay in PvP.
As it stands right now every class more or less runs 1 of 4 builds and plays nearly identical with small flavor changes.

It is only a test, why would everyone quit? Fear of the unknown and losing control of what for years has been the way of playing. Building a char and farming sets to find the strongest combinations. Theorycrafting! Now that is not needed anymore, why complain, the developers are just helping us out. Stop being so nervous. Learn to adapt and find new ways to play the game. There is already too much hassle to play the full game on all fields. See the big picture. I know what I'm talking about. There are too many incentives already to fulfill all deeds.
