Question About the Stickerbook

Let's say I'm farming an overland set. And let's say, in that particular zone, I have the following stickerbook record:

Overland Set 1: Missing one weapon only, and everything else is already collected.
Overland Set 2: Missing all pieces.
Overland Set 3: Missing all pieces.

If I kill a world boss, what are my chances of getting the one weapon I'm missing from Overland Set 1?

Are they 1/3? As in, does the game first pick one of the three sets at random, (regardless of how many pieces you're missing,) and then assign you one of missing pieces from that particular set?
Or are they much, much lower than that? As in, the game doesn't differentiate between the three sets, and instead, looks at all the pieces you're missing from all three sets, and assigns you one of the missing pieces at random?

Does anyone know?

It will randomly pick from every option that is in your drop table.

In your example, you've got the one you want along with 13 weapons from each of the other two sets, which means you have a 1:27 chance of getting what you want.

I was writing a reply, stopped to read your post again and started over. That's a very good question. My guess is the odds of getting the missing one from set 1 would be 1/27 (provided I did the math correctly and got 13 weapons per set). The alternative would require the game to run two steps (pick a set and then pick an item), which might put a heavier load on the servers. Again, just a guess.

@Carcamongus - Yeah, it is the answer that makes the most sense. I was hoping it was the other case, because that way, if one set has a particular weapon that is sought after, it would be very expensive to buy in guild traders. I thought it would be less expensive to buy every other piece from that set, and then farm world bosses with a 1/3 chance of getting that weapon. You'll get it faster, and make it less expensive to reconstruct at the same time. But that was wishful thinking on my part. Oh, well. :D

The chances to get your one missing weapon from a particular set with no items bound to your account at all from the other two sets are in fact much smaller.
World bosses don't just drop weapons, they also drop head, chest, leg, or unique item pieces. The loot pool for public dungeon bosses is very slightly smaller as they can only drop shoulder, hand, or unique item pieces in addition to weapons. So most likely farming a public dungeon would be the faster way to get your missing weapon.
