hey just getting back into the game and learned theres a better set than hunding for stamina thats basically a stronger hunding but with a resource cost increase which is fine by me since i never have resource issues.
problem is it requires knowing nirn traits so i cannot make it so what can i substitute it with? hunding feels so weak now since i cannot 1 shot minor humanoid enemies from stealth with a light/heavy anymore
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Ask someone to craft the items you can not craft yourself.
Since you're playing on EU, drop me a PM and I'm more than happy to help you out later today.

The single best craftable set is Order's Wrath,, also get yourself a DLC dungeon or trial set.

is the 8% crit damage far better than nearly 400 weapon damage? i would have figured stacking raw damage and stamina would be best for min maxing output.
i will give it a try for now, thank you for the advise

Stamina or Magicka are interchangeable now.

Hundings is not Only for Stamina anymore

Julianos is not Only for Magicka anymore

Combat bonuses apply to both equally. That's the way all the sets are now.

Also, since no one mentioned it: Weapon/Spell damage is given out like candy. Even a true full tank can easily hit the 6k mark in some groups. I regularly see 10k-13k spikes if I'm going all in on that stat and I'm in even a slightly organized group.

Long-story-short, the stat isn't that hard to source these days, especially not for PvE. Marginally more useful in PvP simply due to it's ability to scale healing.

    OP, are you on PC?

If so, I can craft it for you for free in purple, no problem. Just give me your ID and tell me the traits/enchants you'd need.

Glad I saw this thread - I might have to try Order's Wrath myself.

I'd forgotten about it because when I was trying to put gear together I didn't have access to High Isle and my trait crafting wasn't fully researched. Ended up with a mix of overland sets - Ranger's Gait for stamina, Gryphon's Ferocity for crit chance + w/s dmg. But Order's Wrath gives significantly more crit chance even though the crit damage bonus is lower.

Is the increase in crit chance (basically double the stat bonus) worth 2% less crit damage (8% versus 10%)?

Stamina and Magicka aren't completely interchangeable. Calculations are based off of whichever maximum stat is higher stam or mag. If you're running a Stamina build, the bonus Julianos gives to max magicka does nothing for you and is a waste.

The buff you get from Gryphon's Ferocity, Minor Force, can easily be gotten from other sources (such the Barbed Trap skill, various Scribing skills and the Velothi-Ur Mage's Amulet). So if you use Order's Wrath and get Minor Force from another source, you'll end up with an additional 943 Critical Chance, 8% more Critical Damage and 8% more Critical Healing. You do lose out on Gryphon's speed buff though.

Is the speed buff in ESO only movement speed, or does it also apply to attack speed (ie boosting DPS)?

Not entirely sure I'd miss just the movement speed buff at this point, but I do have plenty of mats on hand right now, so some experimentation is in order.

The Minor Expedition buff doesn't effect your DPS, just your Movement Speed. (Well, I suppose it can technically increase your DPS if you use the Scribing Skill called 'Banner Bearer' with the Cavalier's Charge script, which would increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 6 for every 1% bonus Movement Speed.)
