ajkb78✭✭✭✭✭I already had it for every zoneI had all the fishing achievements for every zone including the DLC ones, as well as the purple fish achievements in Wrothgar and Apocrypha. I'm still annoyed ZoS didn't add a 10-year "Grand Master Angler" achievement for completing all the fishing achievements up to West Weald, similar to the questing roll-up achievements.
But well done to everyone who got the curated achievement during the event.0 -

aussie500✭✭✭I already had it for every zoneMy main account got the master angler achievement years ago and always does the fishing for any new DLC or Chapter.
My two alt accounts have never really done fishing, second account got the master fisher achievement, West Weald and some DLC, My third account missed out, Third did the extra areas for the achievement and the pact zones, wasted too much time trying to get the Staff of Worms and Ul'vor Staff. Other two accounts managed to get all the style pages this time, next year my third account is going to buy them with tickets, I am fed up with chasing them.
Main character on the third account is still fishing away, trying to get the master fisher achievement, now there are finally fishing holes to be easily found. Aussie500's will be sending him some bait soon, or maybe I will just get sick of it before he runs out of bait. If they always had the trophy fish set up like they did for the event, I would be more willing to fish on a regular basis.0 -

IsharaMeradin✭✭✭✭✭Already had master angler on my main account. Thus, used my fishing time to get it on my second account. Summerset was bad with the lake and foul fishing holes. Took forever to find those as there was a lot of competition for them. Others were done in no time. Still have a few zones to go, but I can get them later.

allochthons✭✭✭✭✭I have MA on PS/NA, but on PS/EU I used the event to get some of the 1-fish type only zones done, like IC, Deadlands and Coldharbour. Since those were the worst ones to complete on PS/NA. I also made sure to get the Crab-Slaughter-Crane from Wrothgar since I don't have Sharp fully leveled yet on EU.
Thank you very much to the AD player who let me walk up on my EP player and fish salt water in Cyrodiil. With another player fishing, I got all the saltwater fish with FOUR casts!She/They

ESO has 2/3 of these. So I expect a racing minigame soon. (A bit more than just that one run in Bergama.)
Before the event I had Cyrodiil Angler and I had fished for the recipes in Artaeum, which also gave an achievement I think. I had thought I will never get those fisher achievements. But because of this event, fish soup, the green CP and Sharpie as a companion, I now have all the achievements. Not only the Master Fisher but also all the DLC angler achievements. IC was not that bad, but oh boy did I hate foul fishing in Summerset. Grinded all the alliance zones and all the DLC zones in 3 days.
But it's done now.

Got master Angler on another 4 accts plus finished all the DLC zones on my main acct on NA & EU.
Typically I don't enjoy fishing in games so this was a great event to finish up some things.
Also got "Pulled from the depths" on a couple of accts.
Not a bad little event, but I'm over fishing for another year lol.

Occasionally grouped up with other anglers which was nice too. Got them all done in a very short amount of time compared to doing the main Master Angler zones.0 -

For Cyrodiil, I did it very late at night on the pre-50 campaign where very little if no activity is done. Did it on an EP character and I was always nervous fishing foul from the little puddle in front of the Mnem gate and waiting on river from the nearby river along the outside of the AD alliance base walls leading to that one cave there.
Also, only got it on a couple of chapter zones, one being North Elsweyr and I think South too (and WW?).Edited by Razmirra on February 5, 2025 8:42PMPC-NA. Khajiit and Argonian only.

Mithgil✭✭✭I already had it for every zoneImperial City is easy enough. Go with a friend (of the same faction) who also could use it, or wants to help. You'll die a few times but really who cares. Just a minor inconvenience.
When a friend and I were completing it, we had two enemy who were morphed as skeletons dance in front of us as we fished lol. Another enemy let us finish the hole then he killed us. All good.
The fishing in IC is just all around the perimeter and it's all foul. Just accept the fact that you'll get killed a few times. It's not that traumatic lol.PC NA Yes, I use add-ons.0 -

There was one particularly persistent player attacking those fishing when I was getting the IC ones during the event. Killed me twice, and while one of the occasions was when I had just reached the fishing spot so they may not have known I was just fishing, on the other occasion they waited until I cast my line and came out of stealth to kill me. Saw them on the zone feed numerous times killing others who I had also seen fishing. They were going round the city in a circuit so I got into the habit of watching the feed and when I saw them enter a neighbouring zone, I went into the next zone and moved in the other direction to stay well ahead of them.
I also fished with the dremora towards the end of my quest.0 -

Oh please. I had done it 6 times (3 accounts, both PC megaservers) LONG before this event. And I have a 4th account (both servers) which I did NOT bother with the fishing in this event for. I LIKE spending time relaxing while fishing, and did not see any need for "curated fish".

I was actually thinking about this. At least for me fishing achievements were unobtainable and therefore they meant something - this is because I really, really dislike fishing minigames in video games and typically avoid it as much as possible. But now that I could grind all zones in 3 evenings, it kinda takes away from the prestige.0 -
