It would be nice if the Golden Elven Hero outfit reward also had the male counter part like the the original Elven hero outfit does.
IMO, it just doesn't look right on male toons.

It looks horrible on male chars and why the textile at the arms is white/beige?

It looks like a bra top on a male, and makes it look like they are filling it out. They should have altered the cut of the top to fit a male body.

I like this costume. There are a lot of designed for male costumes that don't look right on female toons. Too many to actually complain about individually. I'm happy to see at least one for females that looks great.

That's just an open shirt/robe (Or does it change the chest shape for male characters? Not that I know of), which I personally find rather neutral.

Im fine with it being tailored for female characters. Something for everyone. I have plenty of dude bro fantasy garments from the last decade of motifs and costumes for my dude bros anyways.

I know it's free and all, but damn... This outfit needs to have a male version. This only looks good on the women because the outfit has a bra. I don't want my male toons to be wearing them!! I'm not that thrilled with the collar thing either.. I mean what does it mean? Why does it have it? Just not good.

This costume needs to be revamped. The bare chest makes sense how exactly? It even looks goofy on female toons.

I don't know those costume design is TES lore friendly or not.
But, 60% of apparel design of ESO is really not good.
( I also hate female vampire villain costume also.)

the costume is based on the Elf Hero's costume from the cinematic trailers, in case people aren't aware.

I'm glad the design stays the same for every character so all of my characters can wear it the same way, unlike the old Elf Hero costume

Interesting note here going back to a previous mini discussion about there being pants instead of showing the upper thigh… the top image has pants!

I like it for my female characters, but I have to agree I would probably never use it on my male characters or companions. The neckline is just not it. There's ways to have more skin showing for males that looks nice. This just seems awkward, like his clothes got stolen as a prank and he had to grab the only outfit he could find.

Of course, it's always a matter of opinion. I will very likely be using it in my rotation of outfits for my main so I am happy to get it. Just interesting how it looks on males.

@Lumsdenml Are you guys still playing in Ravenwatch? We migrated to Blackreach. There were not enough fights in Ravenwatch, It's as dead as Icereach I'm afraid. We did bump into your group not that long ago. I think Major was leading your group. Not sure. I hope you and the rest of the disenfranchised are doing well!
