i saved a set of west weald maps on every character for this event and i have used many already and only gotten a few leads and they were green tapestry and and grand tree. nothing extra, this is the same horrible drop rate i was getting without the event. feels bad man

I did about 50-100 West Weald Treassure Maps before the event and 150 today (parked on all my characters and chests). Today I didn´t dig the tapestries and the common purple tree but waited for the furnishings I was aming for:

after 200-250 TMs (maybe even more, thats a cautious estimate) and spending around 5-6 Million in gold I just yet made enough digs to unlock the furnishings at achievement vendor

it was defnitely no significant increase if any at all - maybe its getting better when they hotfix other event issues like fishing but after the first third I just wanted to get over with it and swore to myself that I will never push any TMs no matter what they lock behind it. The grind is absurd, even with the event.

That is so disappointing. Hopefully the hotfix will fix the treasure map chest drops as well.

I have had varying experiences across all zones if I'm honest, sometimes getting two leads in one chest, sometimes digging multiple maps and getting no leads at all.

Galen stands out for me in not dropping any leads at all after using multiple maps and this on my secondary account that had none of the leads that could drop from Treasure Maps! :o

    "Extra leads" is not guaranteed.

What the maps are doing is just rolling the loot twice. That means that you have a more likely chance of getting a lead (since it's essentially digging up two chests for the price of one), but the lead drop rates are still the same as they always were.

i understand its still RNG but i did 24 maps x2 is 48 chests by your math and i got 2 green tapestries and one purple and its was the most common the grand tree. so 3 leads in 48 chests seems weak and no different than without the event.

In which case it's working as intended. There was no change in lead drop rates. If 3 in 48 is the standard rate and you got 3 in 24 during the event, then that's correct.

Whether that's helpful or not is a different factor, and is a matter for a /feedback report. The only thing that's promised is that you get two rolls at the loot table per map.

"Higher chance" at Leads and other drops implies an increase in drop rates. Have they said in the past that it's not an actual increase and just rerolling contents?

Yes, it's in the patch notes from when this was tested on PTS
Treasure hunters, during this event any chests you dig up using Treasure Maps will roll again on all of their existing loot, greatly improving your chance to get leads, furnishings, etc. that are exclusive to that source.

The official article doesn't mention that the maps are rolled twice, it only says "higher chance." It's the patch notes that specifically say it's a double roll. The fact that it's a double roll is what gives the improved lead chance, because something that has e.g. a 1/100 drop rate will now have a 2/100 chance at dropping since it rolls twice for a single map.

I saw higher chance for leads and Ayleid plans for maybe the first 2-3 maps per zone, then just gear and stuff after that. I’m going to save any others beyond the first few for the next day now instead of wasting them.

Aaaaaah so it was shoved in the patch notes rather than being put in the article where more people would have likely seen it lol. Thanks for the clarification!

I had chest with double lead in but mostly when was the first time I discover those leads at all.
Now that I got each of them once it seems of course to drop less...
And now people put high price for those maps (and certainly a lot of people buy cheap maps to sell high)
This events will be a pain for my economy if I want to got all codex T_T
