So, for over a month it's been advertised in a way to make people expect 1 Glorious Reward box once per day from each of the different event types, IE Incursions, Delves Bosses, Dungeon Bosses etc.

Then today, you update the worded so that it's only 1 box per day from one of those events. So disappointed.

    Exact wording of the original post by ZOS regarding the boxes for the event.

    "During the Pan-Tamriel Celebration, you can earn a Glorious Reward Box once per day each time you complete one of the following:

    Defeat and loot any delve boss
    Defeat and loot any public dungeon boss
    Defeat and loot any final dungeon boss
    Defeat and loot any final trial boss
    Defeat and loot any world boss
    Defeat and loot any final arena boss
    Defeat Tho'at Replicanum in the Infinite Archive
    Completing any incursion event"

    Just in case anyone wants to say I just read it incorrectly, "Glorious Reward Box once per day "Each time" you complete on of the following events" sure reads like we get a Glorious Box for each of those events once per day.

    Depends on the event. For some events, like Witches Festival, you get multiple gold boxes per day, one from each of several different activities. With other events, you get one gold box per day for doing any one thing from a list of activities.

    The original wording here made it sound like this event was following the first pattern, when it in fact follows the second.

    The fact that it was updated to clarify means they understood the wording was misleading and took action to correct that.

    For comparison, it nows says: "UPDATE FOR JAN 23, 2025 - During the Pan-Tamriel Celebration, you can earn ONE glorious reward box each day by completing one of the activities listed below:"


    ETA: It's not only the Witches Festival that does multiple gold boxes per day. We've had events where you can get multiple "Glorious" gold boxes per day, e.g. this one where you could get three.

    No worries! I'm glad they updated the wording, but the original language got lost when they did so, which makes it confusing to know exactly what was corrected.

    I thought I had misread the conditions for a gold box, turns out the conditions were not spelt out too clearly. Glad that zos has reworded it to clarify.
    Is it a "chance" at a purple box after the initial golden box? I've done several of the activities listed and not all have dropped a purple box.

    I'm more bummed about the cooldown of the boxes. :/

    I'm still very excited for the event, but I was hoping the boxes would drop for every single boss like it does for the Jubilee event. I was out in Alik'r doing dolmens and got 1 box for every rotation (a box on the 1st dolmen, then again on the 4th, etc.). Ah well. Would be cool if it was changed!

    @YORKSHIRE76 this might explain why you're not seeing those purple boxes. Were those boss kills very shortly after you got your glorious box?

    Ahh.the old cool down..thankyou scottPickrell...takes a little stress off, (not that gaming should be stressful 😱). I know now I I dont have to pay that much to this event. (Ticket wise). I can just chill and do a couple of activities a day..👍. My activities after the gold box were fairly far apart time wise..a guaranteed chance I guess.

    I'm curious though, with 1 gold box per day per account, are the purple boxes capped at 1 also? I know there's a chance at the boxes and there is a cool down but how many purple boxes can you earn per day?

    There's no cap on purple boxes (Besides how many you can physically acquire within a 24 hour period)

    I read the same thing you read "each" but was really sure that they meant one of. I don't recall them ever giving us more that one glorious box in a day.

    It's pretty much always been one gold event coffer per day, per account, per server. I think the only exceptions are when each type of boss drops an event coffer and the coffers have names which indicate the type of boss they dropped from.

    See my post above for an example of an event where you could get three. It’s rare, but it has happened.

    Someone above had linked to another event that dropped multiple Gold boxes per day. Though even if there hadn't been others, the fact that that's how the Witches Fest works coupled with the original phrasing of the article for this year's Pan-Tam make it easy to see how people would have thought that's how it would work.

    Also, er...for the Witches Fest it's seven different Gold boxes that drop different things like parts of whatever Style is released. One box drops Bows while another drops Hands, for example.

    The final part of the sentence, “each time you complete one of the following” always made me think I just had to do any one of the following items listed to get my one daily glorious box. But I can see how others may have taken it differently by keeping the emphasis on the earlier part of the sentence so I’m glad they clarified it.
