What do you think of the new weather control furnishing, Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?
Did you run into any issues using Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?

I'm very disappointed that this Control has no affect on the snow flakes and mist blowing around inside the Snow Globe home.

This has probably already been said but, THANK YOU!!! To whoever listed to us about Ayleid and Dawnwood structural furnishings!!!! I got soooo excited seeing what Rolis Hlallu had this time around! Now I have to farm a ton of writs for everything.

Now let’s talk about an actual Dawnwood/alyeid combination style house >.> …..

For Castle Skingrad, I want the bridge leading up to the main entrance (see picture below). The size of the castle is great, and the bridge would be an amazing addition.

Might be possible to build one in Gorinir, using the existing structures.
I wish we could have multiple instances of the same house, I like the idea of a Bosmer/Ayleid house, but I already have a house there and don't want to deconstruct it.

What are your general thoughts on the new houses (Shattered Mirror Isle & Castle Skingrad)?
Can imagine a lot of cool things being done in Shattered Mirror. As always, both houses are very large for the item limits; will be difficult / impossible for players who decorate and do not block off or reskin.

Really cool that the Castle is customizable so that you can enter a side door from the couryard and block it off to create an apartment or townhouse, if you don't want to deal with a whole castle. VERY glad that there's only a short black-screen at doors and not a full loadscreen with waiting time. (Really wish HotLC could be fixed this way.)

My one remaining house wish is an open Dawnwood plot (like Moon Sugar Meadow).

What do you think of the new furnishings?
The new Dawnwood items especially are AMAZING! Feels like 2nd Christmas and Santa-Devs brought the whole wishlist! (Well, almost! Hope we get some giant & mossy boulders someday.)

I used the Dawnwood items to make something awesome that would've been impossible before; can't wait to build it on Live.

The Ayleid structures will be really useful for builders also. Love that all of the items are multi-functional.

What do you think of the new weather control furnishing, Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?
A wish come true! Thank you SO MUCH!!

Love the VFX also; it's really cool that it's small enough to sink into other items and make it look like that item has the effect.

Did you run into any issues using Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?
    None.

How did you use this item with your houses?
Happy that the Clear setting brings out the aurora in houses like Proudspire.

Serenity Falls had been a huge pain pre-Control: 2/3 of the weather states are rain, making it hard to see, impossible to work on scenes intended to be sunlit, and eye pain from the lower contrast + lightning flashing. Very happy not to have those problems anymore, in any houses!

Later saw the patch note that projected light windows were fixed to not change when it's rainy – glad that was changed, should be better for most builders.

Do you have any other general feedback?
Very grateful for all of these items. Lots of people requested them, especially Weather Control, and feels like you guys heard us! Thank you!!

I hope PTS schedules might be more balanced so that builders on NA can have more time to test and build with all of our Luxury & Achievement stuff, and in our own houses. Last cycle for example, NA had 2 weeks and then it was EU from October until January.

Pretty please make this window in a floor to ceiling version. On a stone wall.
    • The height of the wall should match the existing Colovian castle walls.
    • The width of the wall should end just on either side of the window. This way, we can place several of these windows close to one another.
Again, no glass. Keep the black metal pattern, but remove the glass so we can see outside.

I agree with you, it'd be awesome to have more transparent windows in addition to the High Isle one!

But in houses like this, I know they won't change it at least in this one, because the house is most likely not outside to begin with: you'd only see black. It's really nice that we only have the short black-screen when entering and not full loading screens, and it likely means that the interior of the house is actually "underground" just like shops and stuff are in cities.

So for a house to have a visible exterior, they'd need to actually create that – way more work. Or, take for example the "farmhouse" in Serenity Falls: you can see outside and sunlight (which I love; it's why I use that instead of the actual house) but it heavily limits customization: you have to be really careful about blocking off or cobbling, since piece stick out through walls.

That was my thought, use the Ayleid structures to build around the pods. Or take the giant Ayleid ruin one and build a bosmer village inside.

I don't want them to change the existing buildings.

I want a furniture item that is that same model of window - but without the glass.
It should be part of a tall, rectangular wall I described in my original post so it is a modular structural piece that is easy to build with.

I am not sure what it is I said that would lead anyone to think I wanted the existing windows to be changed. I'm autistic so maybe someone can help with that?

I don't see it in the new features of the U45... But I would have liked the Colovian throne to be added, at least as an exclusivity of Castle Skingrad... The simple Colovian armchair in the throne room is weird..

I also find the absence of colovian desks (noble and green) quite problematic.

As I was scrolling through this thread and came to the picture of the little armchair in the big room that has replaced the throne I had to burst out laughing. We definitely need a throne for the throne room!

I tried the new weather control.

I understand that houses with no exterior generally do not allow its use, but Snugpod does. So I tested it there, and was unable to detect any differences between the settings.

At the other houses, I expected greater variation in the light level between the three settings storm/overcast/clear, but that is probably consistent with what those weather states normally do, and it just hasn't been possible to compare before. Shadows seem to be just as contrasting under overcast conditions, for example, where I expected them to almost disappear.

I had also hoped for more options, such as fog/mist. The precipitation in the storm setting appears to match the zone climate, as I expected, but again the other choices would have been nice to have.

What are your general thoughts on the new houses (Shattered Mirror Isle & Castle Skingrad)?
Shattered Mirror Isle is gloomy and eerie, Castle Skingrad is rustic, so none of them look interesting to me, not the style I personally like.

What do you think of the new furnishings?
They follow the same style as houses: raw nature, rustic, broken, old items, so I have no interest in them for the same reason. Kothringi Canoe looks better then new redguard boat. Colovian canopy bed is an exception, it looks good.

What do you think of the new weather control furnishing, Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?
It is interesting furnishing. It can be used as a decoration as well.

Did you run into any issues using Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?
I tried it in few houses to change the sky and did not have any issues.

Do you have any other general feedback?
The following colovian furnishings still can not be crafted:

"Did you run into any issues using Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?"

Really loving the storm control. However, when you select the "Clear" option, there are too many clouds. If you could reduce the number of clouds by 30 to 40% it would be much better. I plan on setting all my houses (too many to count) to 'Clear'; excluding the houses that the storm control has no effect on of course. Thank You!!
