Khajiit received his Music Box!

This one received his 10th anniversary music box today, and, right on cue, dungy Kaalgrontiid tried to take it for his own. Khajiit smacked him back, though, and much wimpering ensued.
Music Box is very nice, a lot louder than one would think, resonates well. Khajiit is pleased.

My husband got me one for Christmas (he knew it was a preorder). Got it yesterday and it's...ok. I knew it would be small based on the dimensions and the box itself it really cute.
The music box portion is meh. It's hand crank, so you have to actively turn the handle to play music and the tune is maybe 6 seconds of Blood and Glory before it repeats. Imo, worth half what he paid for it.Edited by anadandy on January 15, 2025 12:30PM4 -

✭✭✭Mine arrived yesterday as well. The box is beautiful (wish it was real wood, though, or if it is then it definitely feels very not-woody) and the tune is even more beautiful. Hand-crank feels a bit loose/wobbly so hoping it doesn't break at some point. I really would have loved if you could wind it up so that it could play on its own for a round or two, though, instead of only being able to manually hand crank it for it to play.
Overall, it's a pretty decorative piece. And as much as I adore all the music boxes in the game, I HAD to snatch up their first real-world one offered when I saw the Bethesda Store email alert.PS5 NA. I accidentally put the wrong address (moved a few months ago) and now I have to wait to cancel the whole thing and get my refund before I can correctly send it to my own home address. Yeah, I've seen the inner part on that video linked above. It's basically a variant of this, it seems:

The Ouroborous, the edge details on the lid, the crank and the little feet on the bottom are all plastic. As far as I can tell the only metal is in the music box mechanism and the lid hinges.

Same. For the price, I thought a little bigger, could wind up to play, and would feel like real wood.
I'm not necessarily disappointed, but... yeah, my excitement deflated a bit after I got it in my hands. If they make more music boxes playing other tunes, I'd pass.PS5 NA.
