Making crown store items available for only a couple days needs to stop.

Only to then lock the items away for 2+ years...

Stunts like this, beyond being generally shady and scummy, are a slap in the face to your customers - and this kind of behavior has only been getting worse in recent months, with the window of limited availability getting smaller and smaller.

It's 2025, do better and stop toying with your customers.

Everything below (about 70% of all items in the monthly showcase) has a window of availability between 2-4 days:

2 Days
  • Crown Crafting Motif: Dragonguard
  • Khajiiti Dragon Priest Mask Pack
  • Blue Oasis Dragon Frog

3 Days
  • Crown Crafting Motif: Syrabanic Marine
  • Nerien'eth Arms Pack
  • Elder Scrolls Artifact: Dawnbreaker
  • Grundwulf Arms Pack
  • Meridian Sunburst Face Tattoos
  • Meridian Sunburst Body Tattoos
  • Meridia, Lady of Infinite Energies
  • Music Box, Dawnbreaker's Forging
  • Meridian Sabre Cat
  • Grudge-Rock Welwa
  • Shadowghost Horse

4 Days
  • Crown Crafting Motif: Tsaesci Style
  • Elder Scrolls Artifact: Rueful Axe
  • Mercymother's Attire
  • Sisei Flowering Dress
  • Statue, Kaalgrontiid's Ascent
  • Music Box, Farewell to Nenalata
  • Statue, Ancestor-King Auri-El
  • Forgemaster Falls
  • Hildegard and Kor
  • Tzozabrar, Dwarven Deconstructor
  • Eri, Barking Banker
  • Azuredoom Wrathsteed
  • Sagacious Psijic Senche-raht

There's lots of stuff people would never buy if it was available forever. the "FOMO" strategy works and I like having extra little goodies I might be able to trade gold for on any given day.

I don't understand how so many people are so caught up with the cosmetics when it's the actual game that makes ESO special....or at least it did prior to 2025. We'll see how it goes from here on out I guess.

It would be nice to have more things in the crown store, which I could see as a reason for making the windows short. But I do think these are too short of windows. What's shocking to me is the arms packs, as generally new arms packs are there for a month and returning ones are there for a week. I'm not farming the mask page in 3 days.

I understand what you're saying, but giving people little to no opportunity to make a purchase is not the same as FOMO economics - which in and of itself is really scummy when overused.

There's also lots of stuff that people will never buy because they never had the opportunity due to the long wait times and very short availability periods.

There's probably a sweet spot on the curve with regards to availability and scarcity, and at this point in the game, with people getting a two day period to purchase something or they'll miss it for years... factor in additional store items coming out and further saturating the inventory... you'd think that ZOS would want to provide more opportunity to players to spend their money/crowns rather than hoard them and wait, not less opportunity. Yet things seem to be going in the direction of the latter.

Personally, it's frustrating, as there are definitely some items I've saved my sub crowns for that I'm going to miss out on due to the absurdly short purchase window.

Not too sure what you mean by the "actual game", cosmetics have always been a big part of ESO - be them earnable or purchasable, that shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone who has spent any time playing ESO.

For many players, investing in the cosmetics of their toons, fashion, and housing, is the endgame.

Me neither, and I'm guessing that goes for a lot of other players too. Granted... for those lucky enough to get the drops, the 3 day scarcity should help make them that much more valuable if they want to sell them.

When I started playing, the store once sold a guar mount, but I missed it. Now I have been waiting for 3 years and still haven't returned.

Oh that's a beauty! I don't think I've ever seen anyone riding around on it - and I love my guars. What is this one called?

We should try making a little noise on here and see if we can't get this mount back in the crown store for you next month!

I am always on the fence of buying Dawnbreaker but the time I need to take the decision never allow me to actually buy it XD

I'm definitely getting dawnbreaker lol. Now I just need spellbreaker and the ability to mount weapons on walls.

I'll make a tank just to use that combo I swear.

Sword and Shield just looks really cool! I always use Staves but I miss S&S so I have it as my relaxed build.
My build isn't even a tank, I made it just for fun/roleplay/questing.
Torchbearer, Deep Fissure, Banner Bearer, Polar Wind, Trample (swap 1 skill with Shield Throw if feeling like it; also Soul Burst is cool).
I summon Isobel as my Tank.

I did a one-bar sword and shield for my nightblade earlier in the year not long after Gold Road dropped. Probably wouldn't take it into vet content, but for regular dungeons and overland, it was just a ton of fun - and you can't beat the look of sword and shield, so cool!

I just don't understand how they make more money this way, waiting literal years before making something available again.

Right. It just made me wait to spend on what I wanted, rather than buy something else now.

In my case it was the snow bear mount, that averages 3 years between appearances. I was lucky, and they put the cub in the store with it. That does not always happen.

I feel like this is something most of the fanbase wants to see (insert Phillip J. Fry meme). Especially after the content has been released years ago as I totally understand wanting to slow drip newer content. I think the February release is emblematic of this for me. I keep finding one or two things I'd want, but I'm personally still waiting to jump back in until I can fully dive into housing with either Bastion Sanguinaris (I thought with all the vampire content and Fennorian release it was sure to make a return!) or the gigantic new Skingrad castle, which also looks great.
