Take My Money: Attributes and Skill Morph Assistants

It'd be super convenient to be able to respec skills/attributes from our homes, maybe we could get an assistant from the crown store. A priest(ess) of Srendar or Alkosh?

I guess there could be some complication with how the shrines currently charge gold for morphs etc, but maybe you'd rather have my real money than my video game gold?

I mean, technically you could do that with the respec scrolls.... although having assistants themed around the shrines would be cool to have in my house, so yes, I second this idea just for the RPG fluff aspect.

Me, I so rarely do this that I would not consider them a good investment, but it would be nice if they were in the game for those who would like to have them.

Yeah, people will still accidentally buy the respec scrolls, so they'll still make that money, but they'd also make more money from those of us who want the RP and convenience of assistants.

You can just set one of your free armory builds to be blank, and then set yourself to this, for free, and then respec all your skills and attributes from there.

    For free.

Some of us do an awful lot of different types of content and have 3-4+ armory slots on some characters already.

Also I don't want to have to wipe out my entire character every time I swap between exhausting and pragmatic fatecarver.

Then set one of the builds to have the unmorphed version of your skills, halfway to a reset.

My point is the means to do this easily already exists.

I would rather pay 5K for an assistant than 1500 crowns x multiple characters.

Edit: an armory just to have an unmorphed fatecarver seems awfully silly also, especially since I already use 3 armory slots on my arcanist.

Yep, it seems pretty janky to me when there could be a more straightforward way though.

It would also be useful for guild halls to have them so people can make gear, transmute gear, mundus, and respec all in one spot, even if they don't have extra armory slot(s).

Before this happens, they really need to make the merchant assistant to able to repair gears. And the smuggler assistant to allow laundering stolen items.

The point of assistants is to have partial functionality, otherwise why would you ever bother going into towns?!

In this case, maybe the partial functionality of a Respec Assistant would be to only allow you to change morphs, while not allowing you to change Attributes or remove Skill Points from the base morph of abilities. Essentially just the cheaper option at the skill respec shrine, without the full functionality of the skill respec shrine and without the ability to change your Attributes, either.

Then again, since changing ability morphs is so useful in and of itself, maybe a better option would be to just make the Respec Assistant only reset your Attributes and nothing more. Though, I'd still prefer a Scribing Assistant first, to change the Scripts I'm using on my Grimoires — that'd be more useful for me than the ability to change regular ability morphs anywhere.

Maybe both Scribing Script swapping and ability morph swapping on the same Assistant would be too much to ask?

Or the partial functionality of a respec assistant could be that the morphs, attribute points, CP points, mundus all have to preset and can't be changed on the fly ... you know ... the armory assistant. /thumbsup

I suppose it would be redundant. Still, until we get Scribing Skill support for the Armory, there's still demand for an Assistant to help change those skills from anywhere. Odd that we have a station for changing Scribing Skills in our homes but still haven't received an Assistant for that — because we received the Armory Station for our homes and Armory Assistants.

I was surprised at first but then I thought about it. It does seem odd that ZOS would willingly passup the opportunity to drain some crowns out of people, but I think they think they would see some backlash - after all why do I need another assistant to change a skill when that's what the armory assistant is supposed to do.

It does, along with atrributes, CP spread, and Mundus.

My parsing build has unmorphed versions of Fatecarver, vigour, Languid Eye, and a few other skills I forget right now. Means I can switch a morph for free with relative ease.

You're on PC so leave an armoury slot blank as a way to reset your character back to a blank slate. Then save builds into an add-on like Caro's Skill Point Saver and then use that to apply builds to you chracaters after they've been wiped. It can't apply a mundus stone as part of the build but it's a small price to pay for the flexibility and to not have to buy chracater bound armoury slots.

Amory assistant is not the way. Thanks though. Yes, there are janky solutions to us the armory assistant and add ons. If you think a little more, you can see why that's not a solution for everyone.

If you are on PC, you can simply just have an empty Armory setup (with a Mundus Stone of your choosing), and use Caro's Skill Point Saver to apply any loadout you want.

All you need to be able to have 100% free no-hassle respecs to literally *any* build in the game is now 1. three Armory slots (all empty, one with vampirism, one with lycanthropy), 2. a guildmate who has all the Mundus Stones, and 3. CSPS. Yes, the third Armory slot costs Crowns, but really, you don't need both curses now do you?

I'd rather they not add a way to remorph skills mid-trial or dungeon, but those would be the places they're useful.

Shrines for homes would be nice. I wouldn't get them, but I think a lot of people would to make their crafting hall or personal sanctuary feel more complete.

Armory assistant is hugely useful. And with addons it's a great way to have flexible skill and cp etc. But it's not the solution we're looking for.

I still want an assistant to just change one skill without having to reset anything else or use another addon.
