Request for Compensation

Dear Zos

Since even tonight I was only able to participate in 1 out of 10 battlegrounds, getting captured the other times and held hostage for 5 minutes without being able to do anything, I want the AP and drops I'm missing out on.

A refund for what? The battleground updates are free and part of the base game. You willingly decided to keep going into battlegrounds knowing they aren't working properly. That's your own fault for taking that chance over and over. Most of my friends are just waiting until it gets fixed instead of wasting their time.

You know just going Cyrodiil you make WAY more AP in there than u would in BGs

I was wondering the same thing. Besides, it cost nothing, and no specific refund was requested.

I understand your concerns, but it's important to note that they can't issue refunds for something that was offered for free. If you're not enjoying the experience, it's perfectly fine to step away. That's what I and many others have chosen to do.

I believe there has been a misunderstanding. I am not requesting a refund in real-world currency.

My concern is about the in-game resources and AP that I am missing out on due to being held hostage for 5 minutes in the battlegrounds. This not only prevents me from earning AP but also denies me the opportunity to engage in other activities such as resource farming.

I am simply requesting compensation in the form of in-game resources or AP for the time lost due to this issue.

Let me explain it better: while I am waiting in the BG queue, I can gather resources, do quests, etc. Once I am brought into the BG, I can't do anything for 5 minutes. 5 minutes * 10 = 50 minutes of lost farming.

You know just going Cyrodiil you make WAY more AP in there than u would in BGs

Cyrodiil is not an experience that I enjoy; I play it very little and only when I have a good small-scale group. The only PvP content I've been engaging in for quite some time now is the battlegrounds. To be honest, I really enjoy the new 8v8 format, which only adds to my frustration.

Since December 2023, I have earned approximately 47 million AP in BGs, raising my Warden from rank 24 to rank 47. You can calculate how many AP I am losing each night (and keep in mind, I was on vacation for one month this summer

).

The misunderstandings are quite easy to understand when you use the word refund. It hold s especially true when that is not what you are seeking. What you are seeking is compensation not a refund.

It seems that you are not aware of the problem.

The queue system for 8v8 BG is bugged. It only takes one person not accepting the invite, and everyone else gets stuck in the BG for 5 minutes waiting for a replacement that will never come. Unless you want to leave the group and get the deserter penalty.

As for improving my PvP skills, you probably don't play on PC EU, but let's just say I'm doing fine.

As for Cyrodiil, it's content that I don't enjoy much, especially in the evening hours. I don't have a ball group, I don't like Zerg Surfing, and playing solo means kiting zergs for half an hour in a tower hoping to kill 1 or 2 newbies and spending the rest of the time waiting at a resource for someone to show up.

I enjoy the BGs because there it's 100% action.

And it is still a question about a refund for what? It cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Also, there was clearly no misunderstanding on the part of @IncultaWolf or myself.

We both went off of what was stated at the start of this thread. Based on other replies, it seems we are in good company.

You're wanting compensation for a 5 minute BG? That seems pretty wacky. If you knew how long you'd be "held hostage" for (which you're willingly queuing up for and agreeing to play), why would you do it 10 more times? The smart thing would've been to walk away from BG and do something else, like farming resources or doing quests, like you said. Not to queue for it 9 more times after that lol. Seems like a silly thing to whine about and demand a refund for, which again you're not entitled to any form of compensation. You can apply that in any way. "Zos, I was doing PvE quests but I want compensation for Cyro rewards because I was held hostage by the NPC! I could have queued for Cyro, but I willingly chose to do quests. Compensate me!" You're choosing to play BG, you know what state it's in right now, you have nothing to be compensated for.
