By the way, if for some reason I was so scared or concerned about dying in a fight in Cyrodiil and there was a punishment for porting out mid-fight, oops, I lost my internet connection (alt+f4). No suspension for me, and I LOLOLOLOL while logging back into the game.

Zenimax cannot suspend players because their game crashed or their internet connection was lost while in Cyrodiil. All campaigns would be empty.
If you get disconnect or alt+f4 while in cyrodiil combat you are still in cyrodiil combat and get killed (you just cant see it) except when you are already in loading screen out of Cyrodiil which is still porting out mid-fight except you are at the same position as before when logging in.

I'd rather my opponent queue out than endlessly turtle (and I'm not referring to troll tanks).

So you're telling me that if I'm in Cyrodiil, queue for IC, accept the queue when it comes up, and then get jumped by someone while the game has just started the process of porting me out if Cyrodiil and into IC, you want me to get punished for it?

Screw that. I don't use add-ons in ESO, ever. And even though queuing from Cyrodiil to IC is usually very quick, players have a full minute within which to accept the queue, plus it can take a second or 2 after accepting the queue before the game moves you out of Cyrodiil. And yes, I've been attacked before during that brief second or 2.

If you want the devs to remove the ability to queue from Cyrodiil to IC, or from IC to Cyrodiil, you can try coming up with some sort of reasonable and feasible alternative, then suggest it to them and hope they eventually adopt your suggestion (but don't hold your breath, because even if they do adopt your suggestion, it will take months if not years to get implemented).

But if you want the devs to punish players for using a legitimate mechanic that the devs themselves put into the game, I must strongly and vehemently object.

And what about being queued for a dungeon or other group activity while you're in a PvP zone? Or using a keep recall stone in Cyrodiil, or a sigil of Imperial retreat in IC? Can you tell whether a player who vanished as you were attacking them hadn't just accepted a dungeon queue or used one of those items? Are you asking that those things should be disabled in Cyrodiil, or that players should be punished for using them? [Edit: Apparently a Sigil of Imperial Retreat can be interrupted by moving, so I assume that includes getting nudged by a guard or NPC who's walking by, or getting attacked by a player. I'm not sure if Keep Recall Stones can also be interrupted. But accepting a dungeon queue and getting attacked while the game is in the process of removing you from Cyrodiil or IC does not interrupt the process.]

    No thanks!

I agree for IC, but there's too many flaws with this method.

1st glaring one is the combat bug that has plagued us for years. I often log out still in combat at the main gate, and if I want to go do an endeavor before I log, I'll que for IC and take the exit in the sewer since I can't use wayshrines in combat. It's probably a safe bet to say that the bug won't be going anywhere soon (prove me wrong devs I'd be sooooo mad) so players being banned for the combat bug will just cause more frustration.

The 2nd is I often go into IC or BR while I wait 30+ minutes to get in GH so when the que pops I'm taking it. Being potentially banned for leaving other PvP campaigns while waiting for my home campaign will discourage me from going into lower population PvP areas (even less players) and instead I'll just sit in a city afk until the que pops or if the que size is too high just play something else.

True, but by the same token, no one really lost anything if a player in combat ports out of Cyrodiil. In the same token, there is no real risk of dying in Cyrodiil outside of being stuck in combat after resing at a keep.

That means there is no reason to hand down a punishment, let alone a heavy-handed suspension.

Anyone who disagrees can report the player for harassment. Whisper them before combat to not port out, and if they do, then report them.

Let's not give Support yet more context-sensitive incidents to evaluate.

There's plenty of legitimate reasons to port while in combat. And while the combat bug is still as prominent as it is, it would be nonsensical to effectively trap players in Cyrodiil for like half an hour because they can't use the wayshrine while in combat.

Then there's disconnects, players who suddenly have to leave and just force quit the game, a queue popping that they had been in before the fight even started.

In the end it's simple. If someone ports out of Cyro or IC in order to dodge a fight, they admit defeat. Laugh at it and move on.

In any other pvp game that players combat log it leads to a suspension of couple of days or hours. It's time to make sure these "pvpers" start pvping o:) Might be good to look at the addon that makes it so you can auto accept the queue and restrict it since players can't be trusted to use it in good faith :)

Only after ZOS fixes "stuck in combat". Players should not have to walk to the next keep or walk back to their base because they are stuck in combat.

    THIS!

If an objective flags across the map and I'm stuck in combat there is a zero percent chance that I'll be able to get over there without a quick Imperial City to cleanse Stuck In Combat bug -> back to base -> get to the action gambit.

It's unfortunate that it has to be that way but the alternative is to remain stuck in combat forever or else to intentionally feed to an enemy or NPC (which is not always reliable, especially if they know that you're trying to feed). Plus, why am I giving someone else free AP simply to mitigate a game bug?

I only port put to get rid of the combat bug or resolve the dumb stam recovery bug or the inability to sprint bug or any other bug that plagues the game. If I need to port quickly I just take a death. Doesn’t bother me dying
