I wish we had more houseguests. I also wish they could do more, like interact with the environment, etc., but more than anything, I wish we had more people. I'm especially partial to characters I have met in the game during quests; maybe you're into something else.

Here are the people I wish most I could have hanging 'round my homes:

I'd love to place my own characters in their homes for visitors to see. Maybe even let people see their achievements, play stats, whatever clout you want to share.

I would like to see more Argonian/Naga houseguests. Maybe more doing slice-of-life things like Cooks-Many-Soups. There could be like an armorer, a stable hand, or a bard even. Sings-Many-Songs anyone?

I know some of them are technically Gods but you become legit friends with Sotha Sil, he should come around and pay a visit and Sheogorath seems the sort to not leave you alone and just show up uninvited anyway.

We have plenty of houseguests already, thank you.

ZOS needs to be focusing on performance issues first and foremost until the performance issues are fixed nothing else matters. Got to have a functional game before we worry about cosmetics.

Khajiit wishes for two things :

His own Alts placeable as houseguests for when he is not logged in with them
An increase to the number of allowed houseguests - if necessary subtract extras from the number of allowed visitors. Khajiit doesn't need all 24 slots - he has only had that many people visit his home on 2 or 3 occasions.

Seconding Morian Zenas! One of my favourite characters from Necrom. I would also like Meln the Mouthless (although I know we got his soul gem as a memento) but I loved his commentary during the quest so it would be awesome t have him as a proper house guest as well.

I don't hate him, and I even find him interesting, but all his 'Use my spectral sight !' shouting really drove me half-crazy at the time !

I don't see the point of more houseguests when the limit on how many we can place is so low.

I would love the ones we have to be poseable, being able to make them sit would be awesome.

I suppose a Bard would be nice but when you consider the current "range" (area they can be heard in)of music boxes, I would be worried how that would be handled with a musical house guest. 🙂

Conversely, I'd also love to see more generic npcs. I have a ship with no sailors to man it, a Reachman fortress with no clanslayers to intimidate guests, and a daedric shrine with no cultists.

I think it would be awesome if they did something like themed houseguest packs- house guards, bandari pedlars, knights, house staff, apprentice guild mages, morag tong, acolytes, etc, etc. Just low-key peeps; no special dialogue beyond "work builds character, they say", no backstory- just people to bring our houses alive.

I strongly agree with house bard, too! In fact, almost everyone does. Its an awesome idea I hope we see one day.

Yeah I definitely like these too, as they're very versatile, and ostensibly also not as labour-intensive to produce as big characters with specific VAs and writing and everything. The Necrom Guard Miraso is just great, you can place her anywhere that needs a guard-looking person.

Still, NPCs who we meet during quests and then don't get to see again just make me sad. So I wish we could have basically all major quest characters as houseguests in some time frame, and the list above was just my favourite guys

The point is not every houseguest works for every house, you think Druid Ryvana thematically fits inside Bastion Sanguinaris? I don't think so, I got 40 houseguests and Adusa-Daro is the only one that works in there.
