PTS Patch Notes v10.2.3

The Elder Scrolls Online v10.2.3 introduces more adjustments to Battlegrounds , based on your continued feedback throughout the PTS cycle! Let us know what you think of the adjustments. We’ve also adjusted the Azureblight Reaper set and have developer commentary to give some additional context.
For Events, Whitestrake’s Mayhem is up this week for testing. There are also several fixes and improvements for the new Companions quest, various base game content and more. As always, feel free to provide feedback on PTS v10.2.3 through our feedback and bug threads, located here.

Whitestrake's Mayhem
Mayhem is back! Get your tickets the usual way, with 2 coming from your first Cyrodiil daily quest and 1 more coming from your first Imperial City district daily quest. Alliance Points, Tel Var stones, and Experience earned in any PvP-enabled zone are all increased by 100%, as last time.

Arkay Unending Cycle is the new outfit style to chase from Pelinal's Boon Boxes. Other rewards rotate as noted here:
Ayleid Lich can either be earned from Boon Boxes (if you already earned an Arkay Unending Cycle page that day) or from Imperial City sweepers.
Sancre Tor Sentry weapon and outfit pages go into the Bag of Veteran's Glory.
Dovah's Du'ul outfit pages still comes from sweepers this season.

Lastly, the Impresario will start carrying the second fragment of the Logical Rune Extraction customized action.

General
- Fixed a bug where the Heavy Attack sound effects from a lightning staff did not properly end when the ability was done firing.

Dungeon Sets
- Azureblight Reaper: Increased the base damage of this set's explosion by ~6%. Increased the damage increase per target to 150%, up from 100%. The cap remains at 600%, meaning it is reached after hitting 5 total targets, rather than being reached after hitting 7. This set now grants Weapon and Spell Damage for its 2, 3, and 4 piece bonuses - rather than Critical Chance, Max Stamina, and Stamina Recovery.
  
  Developer Comment
  We're gently bumping up the damage of this set so that it starts ramping up in damage sooner and requires similar target density as before – while retaining the sharp damage reduction against lower target counts. Compared to before the PTS, this will result in a case where the set is weaker against 3 or less targets while seeing an increase at 4 or more targets. This is at the expense of detonating half as frequently, which will still result in an overall nerf compared to before but to far less of a degree than the previous PTS cycle. Finally, we're adjusting the 2-4 piece bonuses to match the actual proc conditions and rewards, granting a healthy chunk of extra Weapon and Spell Damage to make the booms a bit boomier for the wearer, rather than granting bonuses that had no impact on helping generate more stacks or increasing the damage.
PvP Sets
- Farstrider: Fixed an issue where Farstrider’s Blessing and Farstrider’s Curse were swapped.
- Tracker's Lash: Fixed an issue where the visual effects of this set for reaching max stacks were activating when you reached 4 stacks instead of 5.
Weapon Altering Sets
- Merciless Charge: This set now increases your damage done with direct damage attacks by up to 12%, rather than by up to 560 flat damage. The maximum value now requires 6666 Weapon or Spell Damage, up from 6021.
  
  Developer Comment
  We're adjusting this set off of a flat damage increase due to how inconsistently powerful it can be, where it can go from being highly ineffective to being incredibly powerful depending on the build type. While we enjoy that it has a more nuanced build affect, it was a bit more niche when compared to other Maelstrom weapons, and was inflating the damage of many multi-hitting attacks (namely abilities like Flurry, Puncturing Sweeps, etc) rather than the more bursty nature that the Two-Handed line offers.

General
- Zerith-var: Azurah’s Embrace now heals multiple allies.
Quests
- Beyond a Veil of Twilight: Characters now perform various posture actions correctly, including those using props.
- The Dark Behind the World: Ravith-morna's teleport ability works correctly.
- Of Crowns and Flowers: Cleared up confusion regarding possession of the Gardener’s Greenhouse.
- Of Crowns and Flowers: Tanlorin no longer repeats her reaction if you reread a note found at the camp in Greenshade.
- Various Quests: Fixed mismatches between what the characters say and what the subtitles say in a number of instances.
- The book “The Mud-Covered Letter” is now available to players post-quest.
- Updated a variety of SFX and added a few missing ones throughout Zerith-var’s quest line.
- Adjusted the volume of the singing in Zerith-var's quest.
- Fixed a bug where a few of Tanlorin’s VO lines were barely audible.

The game will no longer launch without audio when your set PC language did not match the language selected in the Patcher.

Battlegrounds

Fixed a small location in the Fire Drake spawn area where you could inadvertently be teleported to your starter point.

Fixed an issue where group finder would show possible activities that your character was too low or high of a level for.
MMR Degrade is now off.
Updated the Battleground descriptions in the activity finder panel.
The Firedrakes relic in Port Dufort has been rotated to face the proper direction.
Sped up the timer which triggers scoreboard appearances at the end of a Battleground.
“Move out” Debuffs in Port Dufort and Huntsman Fortress for the Pit Daemons are now untangled.
Fixed a bug where some of the VO Lines during Battlegrounds were not playing.

General

Oil Catapults: Fixed an issue where this siege weapon type would fail to produce their lingering area of effect and snare when aimed at destructible walls and pieces.

Infinite Archive

Fabled
- Fabled Mystics meteors can no longer be summoned outside of the fight space. Fabled Mystics meteors are no longer affected by the Brewmaster’s Vanishing Powder ability.
- Radiance Pools created when a Fabled Lightbringer dies do not affect player pets.
- Fabled Brewmaster have the following changes applied:
  - Restorative Panacea will not cast as quickly and has reduced healing.
  - Player characters do not have a chance to be stuck in diminished size when the Diminishing Potion effect expires.
  - Adjusted the animation when player characters return to normal size after the Diminishing Potion effect expires.
- Fixed an issue where ESO Plus was not granting an additional 10% in Archival Fortunes. This fixes the previous known issue.

Legacy of the Bretons Celebration
- Updated the Help entry to remove redundancy while keeping clarity regarding ticket acquisition sources. Also clarified extra loot drops on dungeon bosses.
- Fixed an issue causing Earthen Root Enclave containers from Legacy of the Bretons event to grant Graven Deep rewards.
Morphing Collectibles
- Fixed an issue with the purchase requirements on Molag Bal Illusion Imp fragments if you owned every collectible up to the Anchorborn Welwa, but not the house.
- Many morphing collectible fragment icons have been updated to remove the “hard edges” where they appear.
New Life Festival
- Fixed a typo in the Glory of Magnus achievement that referenced the “New Live Festival.”
Pan-Tamriel Celebration
- You can no longer purchase more Sealed Fabrication Materials than is necessary to unlock the collectible.
- Pan-Tamriel Celebration will now additionally grant reward boxes and Event Tickets from Arenas and Infinite Archive. The Help entry is updated to reflect this as well.

Imperial City
- Progress on the Key Collector achievement will now properly transfer over to Imperial Fragment Collector. This fixes the previous known issue.
- Baron Thirsk’s item set head pieces are now properly curated.
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to purchase more Skill Style fragments than were necessary to unlock the collectibles.
- Fixed an issue with the immunity FX in Imperial City overriding style previews.

Furnishings
- Adjusted the furnishings "Imperial Statue, Guard" and "Imperial Statue, Druid" to "Breton Statue, Guard" and "Breton Statue, Druid" respectively.
- Fixed minor visual issues when previewing the furnishings “Minecart Track, Sloped Down” and “Minecart Track, Straight Short furnishing.”
Homes
- Fixed a few minor visual issues in the homes, Grand Gallery of Tamriel, and Kthendral Deep Mines.
- Decreased the interaction distance between you and the lever in the Kthendral Deep Mines’ second floor elevator.
- Fixed an issue where Grand Gallery of Tamriel was displaying the incorrect loading tips.
- Adjusted a few of the rocks on the outside of the Grand Gallery of Tamriel to be further down so you can no longer stand on them without dying. Rockclimb at your own risk!

Endeavors & Golden Pursuits
- Endeavors and Golden Pursuits activities asking you to feed as a Vampire will no longer incorrectly list other players as valid targets.
- Slaying Delve bosses in Mehrune’s Spite, Archon’s Grove, Ilthag’s Undertower, The Brandfire Reformatory, and False Martyrs’ Folly will now properly advance the associated Endeavor and Golden Pursuits activities.
- Endeavors and Golden Pursuits activities that ask you to slay Delve bosses in the Deadlands will now advance correctly.
- The descriptions of Endeavors and Golden Pursuits activities asking the player to complete quests in Summerset have been updated to include Artaeum in order to more clearly reflect their behavior.
General
- Added Japanese localization to the updated Opening Cinematic.

Soul Shriven in Coldharbour/Tutorial
- Fixed an issue where a partial Heavy Attack with a Lightning Staff against Block and Interrupt combat tutorial guards would prematurely remove input lock and prevent advancement.
- Updated sound effects in this space, including the frost rune trap, Molag Bal’s emergence from the pit, and the Child of Bones’ Grave Grasp ability.

Help and Tutorials
- Added more information about MMR in the overview section of the battlegrounds help section
General Bug Fixes
- Keybinds no longer duplicate when swapping between the Withdraw and Deposit tabs of the Guild Bank in gamepad UI.
- When previewing a collectible that cannot be rotated, the mouse cursor no longer displays a rotation icon.
- Updated the icons of several skill style fragments to remove some straight edges.
- Grammar tags no longer erroneously appear in notifications for homes being added to the Home Tours recommended lists in non-English languages
