There is a big difference between patch 1.08 being pure [snip] and simply not being something OP wants. I am guessing the people effected by the broken quests that were just fixed, the Mac issues and whatever backend gets done will make a lot of people happy. Seriously complaining because they fixed some things? really !!

It really is quite mind-boggling the level of entitlement and pure juvenile hysteria going on. Screaming for changes that are slated for 1.1 to go in now just because you yell about it (and, I presume, will soon move on to holding your breath and/or kicking the back of the seat in front of you until you get your way). I swear my 4 year old nephew has more patience than half the people here.

Just to clarify, the patch notes were released, yet will remain down for the backend fixes? (normally the patch notes released signify the downtime is over, thats why I ask).... Also, Do you think they will fix the node exploit, its remained through a couple patches and it would be nice to know it was getting fixed. Any admin care to comment?

    Hello, everyone!

We will be performing our scheduled maintenance on the North American megaserver on Monday, May 12th at 8am EDT / 1pm BST. During this time, we will be pushing v1.0.8 and will also be doing some backend work. Because of this, we expect maintenance to last slightly longer than usual.

We'll publish the patch notes during the maintenance, and will let everyone know as soon as the server is back up for you to play.

    Thanks for your patience!
    Oh, wait.

With all the things that could have been fixed, that NEED fixed... and this is the *** we get...

Think for once son... a week wait and a day early for nothing. Meaning compared to all the *** that needs fixed.
As someone who works in software development/deployment, I can tell that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Between development cycles, test cycles, regular DB maintenance, etc. it's not possible to get a major upgrade with tons of fixes every week. Some weeks you'll get a bunch. Some weeks you'll just get a little. Maintenance needs to be done regardless - even if there are no patches with fixes.

The amount of stuff that needs fixed is staggering. For another week to roll by and this is all they have to offer us is an insult for the amount of money they made in this past week. Do the math, 15 bucks divided by 4 is what I paid. Multiply that by all the people that remain. Imagine how many people are pushed out the door today with this ignorant ***.
Again, you have no idea how software development/deployment works. You can't just say "oh I see that this is a problem" and it's magically fixed. You have to investigate what is causing the problem (which often means spending a great deal of effort trying to duplicate it), find a way to fix it, and extensively test the fix to see if it results in things working as intended, without breaking anything else. Oh, and before you even start that process you have to go about prioritizing which issues should be addressed first, which means that you have to do preliminary analysis of the impact of those issues, as well as how much effort will be involved in fixing them. Yeah, I guess I'm stupid for knowing how all of this works and not expecting that there's a magic wand that can instantly make everything perfect.

well, I have to agree that things are needed, like down time. I don't like it, but its a necessary evil.
As far as the WW fix, big deal. I never found a corpse I could eat twice, and it really doesn't matter because it still takes longer to eat than you get back. Not to mention no HP recovery, and your still totally vulnerable while eating. ( which is also ok, since eating in the middle of a fight should entail some danger )
I must agree fixing the ulti issue first would have made much more sense.

Well, it depends on what exactly the backend work is. Because the 2 servers use different databases, it's possible that one requires backend work that the other does not in order to maintain that DB. If the backend work is something universal (like something that they hope will help address bots), then both would definitely need it.

That's not the point. What I'm getting at is that werewolf has absolutely not viability for anything at all. PVP, PVE or whatever. Its just worthless and I honestly feel bad for the developers that wasted their time on it just so it could be useless in the final release. Everytime I exit werewolf form I start doing more damage. And I have jumped through hoops like a poodle trying to make it something I can use. For the most part it seems that werewolf is just a huge handicap that makes it so you can't heal your self or stealth. But you do run like 10% faster!! Even though the stamina got nerfed in 1.0.7... but whatever that 10% speed buff is surely worth a polymorph!!

Nothing. Thats the patch notes for 1.0.8.
Just how much longer will ZOS allow troll threads like this to be kept up?

Language in thread title, Totally lacking any point one liner which appears just to troll for response. OP flaming other community people in responses. How does this 'contribute' to a forum?

The patch is really necessary especially for Mac players and apart from other fixes which are always welcome, they are working on the server too.

Please ZOS, help get these forums back to something along the lines which you set out in the Community Rules which are there for good reason.

It cracks me up how short-sighted people who play these games are nowadays. Its a testament to how much games have catered to spoiled brats with their parents' money.

You do realize that for them to fix every single issue that people qq about, the servers would have to be down for several days. How much would you qq then? How many subs would they lose? A 4 hour window is a compromise/happy medium for us all. They are able to fix as many issues as they can during it, and you get to log back in and get back to bitching in in-game chat within a reasonable time frame.

As someone famous once said, "less qq, more pew-pew." -unknown

Suck it up and just enjoy the game. I get tired of hearing people ***, ***, ***. If its so stressful worrying about all this, then gtfo! I'd rather have a smaller community of people who are there to just have a great time regardless of the smaller issues, than what i see everyday in in-game chat. They happen...build a bridge - ts not the end of the world. I would venture to guess that you all have much more worse real-life problems to worry about than patch changes.

eh, just for the sake of saying it.
CS is not the issue, I can say I have had some good experiences working with them, sadly on issues that should never have existed outside of beta mind you, but they have been really helpful.
PR however could use some major work.

Yeah but what you don't realize is that in MMO's generally the patches leading up to the big fix everyone wants fixes certain things in a way that when they implement the big patch it doesn't mess a whole bunch of other stuff up. Most of his wining is unwarranted and will be fixed with the patches leading up to and including 1.1.1
