I'm confused, is there a limit on horse feeding? :S
You don't get it.well, if you want a well rounded horse, it will be a jack of all trades and a master of none, that's how it should be , if you want a sprinter, then put it all into sprint, if you want a long distance runner put it into stamina, if you want a pack mule, put it into carrying capacity....
Information has been out there for a while;Oh dear. uhmm.. errr.. Damn.
thanx for the info, just wish you said that 20hours ago
sourceHOW MANY TIMES CAN I FEED MY HORSE?
Updated 04/30/2014 02:39 AM Published 04/06/2014 06:37 PM
Players can feed their horse approximately once per day every 20 hours, increasing the level of the horse by one for each time they feed it. Feeding a horse will slightly increase its speed (overall speed increase), stamina (how long they can sprint for), and carrying capacity (inventory space increase) depending on the food. It will gain a level each time the players feed it, to a maximum of level 50. This allows players to customize their horse in a manner that fits their play style.
It is also important to note that leveling up a horse's statistics only counts on the character's active mount; the statistics are not shared among all the mounts of an account.

Once you start sprinting and you keep holding Shift, the horse will continue to sprint even without any Stamina left. I can only guess that's a bug, because this makes Stamina utterly useless for the horse atm.

Specialized horses can still be recognized by the fact they have just one added item. This way the specialized horses get a small boost and others can decide to go for a horse that has the most complete look.
You're correct that stamina is still useful (for that reason I always limit my sprinting when running through areas where I expect to encounter enemies), but I think that the continued sprinting after stamina is used up is still a bug. I hope I'm wrong.fyendiarb16_ESO wrote: »SinfulSoul wrote: »At the present moment, Stamina is the least important stat on a horse. As far as I know it is not a bug, but intended. Stamina makes it harder to get kicked off your horse by an attack, having a horse with high stamina makes it sprint longer without the loss of the benefit. When your stamina is empty and you keep sprinting the slightest attack kicks you off your horse and lands you dazed and confused on the ground long enough to be killed if unlucky.

Wait, what? No. Just no. It was explicitly stated before they took anyone's money that these horses would be exactly the same in game terms as the standard horse. Anyone who bought them and who read their descriptions should know that and not be surprised by that fact. Speaking as someone who went with the Imperial edition, I was well aware of that fact, and I'm perfectly fine with it. It just means that I got a horse while saving for a nicer one (and I've been upgrading my Imperial horse as a pack horse, while my speed horse gets all speed upgrades), and each of my toons gets to have a horse without having to save for 8 different horses.BUT
Both imperial horses(Imperial Edition) and Palomino horse (cash store) should be able to level to highest avaible horse stats.
Seriously Zenimax -make it happend, before a LOT of folks get pissed, when they discover that Impeial horse are uselless at high level
I can live with a fact that they have stats of "Common horse" at the beggining- but we shouldnt be forced to swap our PAID horses to other ones, only becouse they have better stats.
This also promote your long lasting fans -cos we need addditional days of subs to fully level horses.
So all "basic/purchasable in game" horses should be maxed at 51 level (it also need to be changed -this or fresh horse should start at level 0, not round 49 number of upgrades is silly)
Imperial/Palomino -should be maxed at 61 right now (and this should be improved EVERY time when devs introduce higher tier horses)

I was responding to Kemono. That's why I included the quote.fyendiarb16_ESO wrote: »beowulfsshield wrote: »
How is it pay to win? You will still have to spend 49x20hours to level it up (60 times if I get my way).
Really? Didn't know that they had said that in beta. I'm just repeating what others have said but supposedly they stated in beta that it was intended and not a bug. You do go faster when you first start sprinting. So more stamina means more speed bursts.
