Skill freeze/desync for high ping players - video evidence

I've noticed something particularly frustrating for those of us dealing with higher ping: animation freezes that cause skills to desync and not fire.
This issue happens consistently when weaving light attacks, except when using a lightning staff, here is a video demonstration showing the animation freeze with dual wield weapons:
https://youtu.be/fyejZhTYlPA
You can see that in the video, my character gets stuck in the "holding an arm up in the sky" animation when trying to light attack. This animation stutter freezes my character and causes them to not be able to use any skills in combat.

High Ping on Light Attack Weaving
When your ping is high, there's a noticeable freeze that affects the flow of the light attack weaving animation across every single weapon, except the lightning staff. This freeze severely disrupts the timing and responsiveness of combat. Instead of smoothly transitioning between skills and attacks, the animation stutters, making weaving feel clunky and unresponsive. The most important thing is: this animation bug regularly freezes my character causing them to be stuck/frozen in the light attack animation and not be able to use any skills.

This happens across all weapons:

Swords? Freeze.
Bows? Freeze.
Dual-wield? Freeze.
But oddly, lightning staves seem immune to this issue, which makes me wonder why the problem hasn’t been addressed for other weapon types.

The lightning staff seems to bypass this animation freeze, allowing smooth weaving even with higher ping. The question is, why can it work for the lightning staff but not for other weapons? Surely, if it’s possible to fix it for one weapon, the same can be done across the board.

Devs, Please Fix This for All Weapons!
This issue needs attention. Combat responsiveness and fluidity should be consistent regardless of ping, and the fact that only one weapon works correctly while others freeze just doesn't make sense. If the lightning staff can avoid this problem, I believe a solution can (and should) be implemented for all other weapons."

In my opinion, this is the worst part about high latency in this game, the delay in skill casting is really not an issue once you get used to it, the problem is when the janky light attack freezes desync the character and bug them out that they get stuck in the "holding an arm up in the sky" animation, and not be able to use any skills

I've noticed this problem too (220 ping). Hopefully they will fix it, its the least they can do for us high ping players.

The "freeze" the OP is talking about is caused because the animation is still queued in the client, waiting for confirmation from the server that the animation cancel happened, which then causes a backlog on the character process, which itself is then affected by the same high ping, and then the load on the local CPU/GPU to process the redraws. The only way to fix that would be not to have the LA animation in the first place.

Any modern MMO is geared to run effectively at 150ms latency or less. The nature of action combat in MMOs means the only "fix" would be to have additional world servers, closer to the players in order to reduce the ping. Fixing through coding would require removing things that work below 150ms, as adding any additional code would simply make the problem worse.

as i have said though, the lightning staff is not affected by this animation freeze, neither does it freeze my character, which is not the case for all the other weapons, and that is what makes me think it is possible to fix at least the freezing my character part of the problem.
skill delay due to latency is inevitable, that is due to physical distance to the server, and i completely understand that. but the part where my character gets stuck in the light attack animation seems to be fixable if the lightning staff doesn't share that problem

You can actually get full stuck in the backward animation to the point only being killed will fix it. But usually just falling off someone or being cc will do it.

I'm going to test that lightening staff part of yours. But 100% happens with melee.
Here $15, goat mount please. Not gambling or paying 45 : lol :
20% base speed for high ping players.
Streak moves you faster then speed cap.
They should of made 4v4v4v4 instead of 8v8.

yeah ive been stuck in that animation and not be able to use skills to the point that i have to teleport somewhere to fix it
