Are you sure imp city world bosses speed up? from what I remember its a fixed time which is halved during MYM / IC events. Maybe the speed up you saw is because of the event rather than the population?

Could be, I was told it speeds up based on population, but maybe that's what they meant.

IC boss timers do NOT change at all. They are a static 15 minutes. There is an addon called IC The Next Boss that tracks the respawn timer - it is always 15 minutes.

It’s probably 60-80 people per faction. We don’t actually know.

And they’ll also never tell us the real numbers because they are optimizing resources. It would only hurt their image if players had a confirmed reference for how bad things have gotten.

well its pretty obvious that its not anywhere close to the 600/faction that it was originally (and is still referenced to be that in the official zos FAQ on cyrodiil)

even if it is 100/faction right now that is 1/6 the original population caps or about 17% of what it was originally

using 60 as a minimum and 120 for a maximum, the population cap currently is definitely somewhere between 10 and 20% of what it originally was

i personally think that the current pop caps are too low, regardless of the exact number, the period of time during the increased pop cap test was more reminiscent of "old cyro" and how the pop caps were closer to launch

it was a lot of fun and the map was active during that time. Even if it was laggier if I crashed I at least did not have to sit in a 50+ que to get back in. I would vote to raise the pop cap.

it does not help that due to the pop restrictions many people have resorted to queing early and afking in a corner Further increasing the pop issues. Whatever the pop cap is exactly which I believe is roughly 80 per faction, you can def take 10-15 people away who are just afk not doing anything.

During the first hour of a population locked campaign put in one repair kit somewhere so you have less than 100 AP, then after the game calculates leaders boards for the first hour go to your journal and look at the Cyrodiil Leaderboards, you will be in last place for your alliance, that's how many people are in Cyrodiil in a population locked campaign in the first hour of the month.

I've tested it a dozen times and its always around 130 people, but accounting for people logging in and out within the first hour I speculate its actually 120 people per alliance or 40 people per bar, or possibly the game starts with 120 people per alliance and as demand to enter Cyrodiil increases they allow more and more in capping the population at the highest alliance pop to try and keep each faction balanced. Allowing for up to 600 people if the demand is there, If ZoS says the cap is at 600, this would be my guess, or else they are lying, but I doubt it.

    Undaunted event.

I prefer cyro over dungeons, so I'm farming as many sets as possible while the event gives double rewards. And I've seen a lot of names I recognize from cyro in those dungeon groups, so I suspect a lot of people are doing the same thing. Check back on sunday in two weeks. :)
