"Collectable Furnishings"

Most of what is in the Gallery section of housing is Collectable Furnishing. This includes Busts, Trophies, ALL ESO+ monthly Statuettes/Paintings, and some other antiquities/odds and ends you pick up along the way
Problem is there is no home that you can show all your Busts/trophies/statuettes/paintings. Most I have seen is 110 slots for it. Does that even cover every ESO+ monthly statuette/painting you got?
I want to make a museum type home but just not enough "collectable" slots to do everything

Anyone have a home that has all the Busts/trophies and /or Statuettes/paintings??
If so, is there enough slots open for more as they add more?

update 44 has a museum home with plaques on its walls for trophies and plenty of space on the walls for paintings, still only 110 for collectible furniture though.

What is the reason behind the collectable restriction?
The 700 limit is due to performance but things like busts shouldn't affect that.

I am sure people can get creative with any home if given the slots
And, I agree, how does the busts/trophies affect performance to be limited as much as they are?

Performance used to be about the number of polygons it took to construct an object. Something like a table would be a handful of polygons but a bust would be a lot more.

I don’t think anything has changed.

all the furnishing limits are for performance, that's not exclusive to traditional furnishings.

it's so that older machines can still enter homes without crashing, which includes PCs with minimum requirements.

I wish we get an option to use up all furnishing limit as what we want to place - i.e. 780 traditional items instead of 700 traditional + x special + y collectible + z special collectable whatever.

Well i have a home with every bust and every eso+ painting in it and it doesnt seem like ive hit the cap yet. Didnt even know there is one, might get a problem very soon, was about to update my gallery with the missing 4 busts and 1 or 2 paintings. Have to take a look at this and hope im not yet there lol

Edit: Ok so i just checked and currently there are 54 group dungeons, 13 trails, 3 arenas and the infinite archive. That makes 71 busts. Then there are currently 11 ESO+ paintings, so i have used 82 slots for the collectible furnishings. So i have some spare space to update the gallery for some time

I'd like to see them just remove the separate categories in the build menu and just make one large pool of all the various furniture slots.

That's a good idea.

Might even solve some problems. Like how some categories have quite narrow restrictions such as 10 for special collectibles.

that would be very cool but i guess it wont happen. But i dont think it will happen as you could then also place 830 (with ESO+ 700 normal furnishings, 110 Collectible Furnishings, 10 Special Furnishings and 10 Special Collectibles for Manor size houses) collectible or special furnishings then and that could result in performance problems again.

I would very appreciate it tho if they still would keep the limit for collectible and special furnishings but you could still fill those spots up with normal furnishing items. That should not result in performance problems as normal furnishings wont use as much calculating and rendering as for the special ones. Most housing people lack of space anyways so i think that would be a great improvement for all players.

ESO+ gives Statuettes too - I am guessing there are over 60
