This is starting to happen more and more. Entire teams will leave the match now. Why you might ask?
    PvP has issues, that's why.
I've watched where 1 person can take 3 ults and have 3 30+hp player hitting them and not take a lick of dmg...then go on to feel like they one shot all 3.
I've seen where 1 player can basically take on both enemy teams and win. That to me seems to go way beyond skill. These ppl will go 24-0 in a BG.
    Skill, exploitation, etc? IDK
What I do know is that it should never be possible for 1 player to 1v4 against pvp oriented players and not even take a single point of dmg.
I've died to 1 player bombing. Fine. I've died to 1v3 when we didn't coordinate or they use LoS like a boss. Fine.
I do NOT accept 1v4 brawler taking ULTS, meteor/dawn and just laugh it off. This isn't a single class thing.
I am not great at PvP. I suck compared to great PvPers. That said, I've been in IC with a group of 10+ actual PvP players and watched as 1 person kills us. 1 person taking 3+ ULTS at one time, no dmg, and starts killing everyone while we wail on them. That's not skill. Something is broken. That one person didn't even bother with LoS....

So I ask, what is going on?
If this type of thing is allowed, I beg one of you to give me the build so I can join in.
Is it actual exploitation? If so, what the f ZoS? This is rampant in the game Help us. Save us. Tell us what the f to do. We'll help you help us.
Is it just gear, if so what are they wearing?
    HELP A PvP wannabe out!!!
(I have every class and I've tried a ton of internet builds. I admit I'm not great at pvp and could us all the help I can get, but I stand by my assertion that something isn't right with PvP.)

OP is right and the root of it is the MMR. All the time these days I get two level 500s on my team and the team of 4 level 2500s is happy to repeatedly zerg me down while the 500s are doing Dagon knows what, capturing empty flags or relics or something.

All the balance stuff is related, yeah it's a semi instagib meta, but fundamentally I believe it's the MMR.

We find out tomorrow what's in store for BGs, so this topic is probably moot.

One thing you might be missing is if that teams had a strong healer. I have BG were I had OP healer and have my deaths drop by a lot even were I don’t die which is very rare

    Share the build. Exact build.

Clearly, you are frustrated so much because you never asked for a build. We answered your questions. You are trying to get into MMO pvp. Its honestly not the greatest pvp combat out there today, so maybe read what I said and apply it to your guy. shield, heal, burst, block, roll dodge, be smart. Follow this with critical resistance only matters in pvp and you want it for the glass cannons. You will do better if you follow this generalized guideline.
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

Well, the two are convoluted in this game. Skill at its root means discernment (scer = skill), building is part of the skill in this game, knowing it's Farm Tarnish or bust is part of the skill even, you've done a better job of discerning that your favorite or preferred build will get trounced by the freshly farmed FotM - that's skill too.

But I'm saying the principal issue is the MMR, not build or skill, this phenomenon of players dropping out more than in the past, part filled teams, all this has something to do with the MMR / the changes to hitting "accept" from 5 years ago or whatever.

Anyhow this might all be a reflection on the past, we'll see what's in store tomorrow.

I’m one of the ppl you are describing and let me tell you what I see from my perspective:

    1) The opponents are predictable with their burst combo
    2) They don’t line up their burst combo
    3) They aren’t min maxed
    4) They have no idea what they are doing

These types of opponents get 1vXed in Cyrodiil, so it makes no difference if it was in a BG game.

    @Azzras

I've gone as high as 40 - 0 in a BGs. I'm not sure of the setup I used for that one but I'm a Sorc currently using Hrothgar, Balorgh, 2x trainee, 2x druid's braid, and Torc of tonal. Super off meta, I don't recommend it.

This is definitely an MMR issue as others have stated. Games that I've gone high X - 0 my opponents pop super quick (health helps buffer that time frame but definitely isn't going to save you, 30k+ health with minimal HPS, no blocking, no dodging, and low mitigation). This setup also has huge AoE burst potential with Hrothgar, Curse, and Balorgh dawnbreaker so I can very much 100-0, 3 players wailing on me.

But if you add one player on each opposing team that is of close skill level, unless I farm their teammates and they do the same to mine and avoid me that player is going to create enough of a threat with enough DPS and well timed ultimates with CCs that wouldn't allow me to just run over people.

A more well tuned MMR system is what you're asking for. But good MMR systems require a large population, which we don't have. I recommend dueling while in chat with a top tier player. Let them explain the fight to you. There is a lot going on that you're likely not realizing.

P.S. Meteor is a joke of an ultimate to most players (unless perfectly timed with a CC that goes through block). I can have 3 meteors dropped on me (I have this done to me all the time) and I'll block them on my S&B bar with 80% block mitigation and they will do nothing to me.

P.S.S. How do I brawl and avoid damage? I streak, Dodge roll, block, and Ward between players. That's an AoE CC that lets me recover health and repositions me likely reducing damage taken as players adjust their aim, I dodge roll with a Ward up to absorb DoTs and undodgeable damage, I block big hits such as Leap, Meteor, and Dawnbreaker, and otherwise I make sure my Ward is up at all times. Give me 4 mediocre - average players and I can probably do that without LoS. And all it takes is a lined up Curse, Dawnbreaker, Hrothgar while they are grouped up with bring them into execute and have a HEAVY DoT ticking on them.

I'm not the best PvP player around here, I enjoy PvPing all day every day but I had a weird idea about a build and tried it and I have to say, most of my BG (playing as bad as possible) ends with me with not less then 11 kills (sometime I even manage to score 20 kills with easy) and something between 2 and 8 deaths (depending on how good I want to play and how much I care about winning the game), I'm playing a wood elf sorcer stamina.

    31k HP
    36k stamina
    (Around) 17k Magicka

2.5k HP Regen (unbuffed) with CP This can grow over 5K
1.7 stamina Regen (with major endurance)
    Around 600 Magicka regen

Between 35k and 37k armor and spell resist

4200 WP damage unbuffed (or something like that)

    12k+ amor and spell penetration

22% CRIT chance (not sure here but something above 20% anyway)

I don't use streak neither dark exchange and I'm not using dawn breaker yet

    Sets:
    Gaze of Sithis (reinforced
5 pieces armor Seventh legions (all reinforced)
1 piece Valkyn Skoria pauldron heavy (reinforced)
3 endurance jewelry (2 protective 1 infused) (2 stamina Regen, 1 weapon damage)
1 (main bar) 2h maul agility (sharpened)
1 (back bar) 2h vateshran sword (powered)

    Food
The legendary food for 3 stats and HP Regen (can't remember the name sorry)

With this build (not even full legendary and not at full power) I can easily melt people; still sometimes I die badly against 3 people (mainly because I'm not caring on playing good and I throw myself everywhere enemies are without thinking XD)

I don't block (not the right build to stand still like a rock against people, that's why gaze of Sithis), I just roll, drop out from a combat, LOS until the time is right and if this time won't come I just get the hell out and reset just to try again at full power and 8 times out of 10 this means a victory on my side.

This is the build and way I play and hardly I die, I suffer coordinated damage but hardly is a real problem, only if I'm playing really bad and I'm not the best PvP player here even playing with a completely off meta build based on HP Regen.

Sorcerer is OP but I don't think it needs a nerf, other classes like DK for example should enjoy some more love and the while a very good build makes the difference the real table breaker is the way you play (with this build I was 2/9 in a BG because I was playing bad, then I ended up 16/9 when I started to focus and to stop acting like a stupid, applying what I wrote so far in this comment).

Exactly. All it takes is 1 player that knows how to play the game at a semi-decent level. He doesn't even need to be very close to my skill level. He just needs to be min-maxed, knows the basic CC combo and DPS rotation, and knows the basic survival mechanics to be a huge threat.

If OP thinks those players are cheating, then I can’t imagine what he would say back when the game had less damage for an average casual player. The same players he’s claiming to be “cheating” were MORE lethal and nigh unkillable several years ago lol.

I've already stated that I'm not great at PvP.
I'm fine with you all telling me it's perfectly normal for 1 person to take on entire teams and win.
    That's fine.
I've already left this thing. I was done with it.
Less than a month now, then pooof...just like the rest of the pvp ppl that left the matches which is the entire point of this post.
The new PvP update may be given a chance, but highly doubtful anymore because I'll never have the skill to take on 10 ppl at the same time and win all while jumping up and down. I'm just not gonna keep punishing myself. You all win. I won't play anymore.

Why are you acting like it's our fault? You made this post to ask how people were doing it. We told you that it's a matter of learning how to defend yourself, and you're getting upset acting like we're all keeping some giant secret.

Instead of a defeatist mentality, why not take the advice we give? Practice blocking during the right moments, learn what animations mean you should dodge, and build in a bit more sustain so you can actually hang in fights for longer?

I may seem upset at you, but I am not. I am disappointed in the Devs. A game where 1 pvper can take on 9 + me pvpers and win....something is wrong. I am disappointed that entire teams leave BGs now. I am disappointed that IC is just see if you can port out fast enough...same as Cyro...I'm tired of being disappointed. I've played a lot of other MMOs. Something is off with ESO's PvP. If it's just me, that's fine....I play for fun and it's just not that much fun anymore. I don't know what the future holds, I just know this just isn't fun for me anymore. You all said it. I will never 'get gud' enough to take 10 on while jumping up and down and win. Not even my tank blocks that much dmg, but it's ok. I don't want to 'get gud' anymore.

You can be that player too if you like to PvP. While waiting for BG queues, you could travel to Wayrest Stormhaven for NA regions or Bergama in Alikir for EU regions and practice dueling. There are always people dueling there and you will be able to hone your skills. Practice the things everyone here adviced you, and you will be able to take on entire teams in no time.
