Hi, I would like to change platform from Mac to Xbox series X.

How do I do that, when the option is missing in the edit profile section ?

Pretty sure it's impossible but to create new one from scratch, buying the game anew.

You cannot go from computer to console, as @colossalvoids noted, you'd have to repurchase the game and start all over from the beginning. There are many who would love to switch from console to PC, but are unable to unless they want to start all over.

I think OP is talking about their forum profile, not actual cross-platform transfers. Their profile says they play on Mac under “About Me” and they want to change it to Xbox.

My forum profile still says I play on PS4, but I actually play on PC and there is no way to change it under Edit Profile. I haven’t played ESO on console since 2019.

It's not "missing."
It doesn't exist anymore.

They changed the forum software a while ago, and certain things we used to be able to do, we can't anymore.

You mean for the forum profile? I think the option to change your platform in your forum profile did exist at one time… I remember being able to change my listed platform from PC to PS4 on the forum when I started over on PS4 back in 2016.

Edit: And just to be clear, I’m pretty sure this is what OP is referring to:

I can’t change my platform to PC, even though it has been almost five years since I last played on PS4.

Ah, gotcha. Would be nice to be able to change it, but I personally can’t remember when last I looked at someone’s profile (beyond OP’s today), so it doesn’t really matter much to me.

About the only time I do look at a profile is before I start blathering about addons so if it's a console user mentioning addons is not real helpful.

Hi guys, and thanks for your responses.

It is my forum profile, and it is now showing the incorrect platform.

As you pointed out, it probably doesn't matter, it is just anooying me.

I did have to buy a new version of the game when I switched to Xbox - and begin all over again, but that wasn't so bad. With my new character, High Elf magica sorcerer, it's been soooo easy and I have reached level 140 i no time

The change platform on the edit profile field is missing only from the mobile version of the forums.

I switched over to desktop version and found a tab called "edit profile fields" (located under profile and privacy) where players can change the platform. Then switch back to mobile version of the website.
