A (somewhat insignificant) reminder that High Isle's statue is STILL damaged.

The city's gorgeous and seeing that statue in disrepair on the horizon looks ugly AF, at least in my opinion.

Can we call in the repair crew, pretty please? :)

Go there with an alt who hasn't done the storyline.

I literally only noticed the statue when it was collapsing when I first did High Isle when the chapter launched, best bet is to visit with an alt that has not done the story there yet.

Yeah it's a shame they destroyed it and just leave stuff destroyed forever. I'd love repair missions for some of these things. But, they haven't bothered to do that for ages, even with their single player games. So, I wouldn't imagine it's something they'll ever do.

      Yep. Really sad.

My friend, alas this is not new for ESO. Several zone quests present an unfinished environment even after we conclude the stories (We save a city from werewolves but the werewolves are still there, we destroy a dangerous cult but the cult is still in the same places, etc)

High Isle we "save" the island and the statue is said to be fixed, but never do.

The locals are probably too busy trying to fix those annoying bumps on either end of some of the bridges in High Isle and Galen. You know the ones I talk about: you're galloping towards the bridge, hit one of these bumps, and goodbye gallop.

What would be interesting would be a new type of long endgame quest where (once the main zone quest is done) you help rebuilding the statue stone by stone by gathering very rare materials.

I really loved that feeling when you hepled reconstructing the isle/lighthouse in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, you could drive offshore with your boat, see the lighthouse in a better shape and say to yourself "I've contributed to this".

This or the same type of quest in multiplayer mode where all players having done the main zone quest see the statue in the same state/shape and everyone can contribute to rebuild it, then when the statue is complete it stays for a few weeks and gets destroyed again, and the multiplayer quest restarts ad vitam æternam.

If only they did add these flavor quests to rebuild places that get damaged or destroyed during a questline. I'd actually really like it

I'll have to play through that quest line again - I don't remember hearing the statue was repaired.

I'd always considered the mangled statue to be symbolic.
The three alliance leaders, when last we saw them, are still there on High Isle conducting peace talks. They're hopeful it can still be pulled off. But the statue reveals the truth. We are still in the very early days of the Interregnum. There will be no peace, and the unity that statue represented is dead for centuries.

      It's ugly because it's reality.

It hasn't been repaired, and likely never will be - that's what the OP is about.

Oh I notices today that repairing works startet.
Or has the scaffolding been there for a while and I just haven't noticed it?

I can not see any scaffolding on it. Looking from island with the tales of tribute gaming hall.

Seems to be buggy. I came back to Gonfalon Hall and didn't see the scaffolding. Changed the location, went back - No scaffolding. Changed again location - Logged out/Logged in - transported to Gonfalon, went to the beach under the Gonfalon hall and see it again.
This one has no regrets *Raz

This seems to be an attempt at "meaningful choices that have an impact." Except there is no choice involved except to do the quest or not. The damage is unavoidable.

Can confirm, there is indeed scaffolding there when you spawn in at the wayshrine, but it seems to disappear when you get closer. Maybe a future event thing and the scaffolding is erroneously loading in?
