Why I will be cancelling my sub

I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2009 and it is a game I love very much. I have been a constant subscriber in all that time and have never considered unsubscribing. But with ESO I am at the point of cancelling my subscription because of constant problems with the game. I say this not as a "Im going to unsub" threat but simply as a fact because of my annoyance with the game.

Things like:

* Bugs like quests that are screwed up or have other technical issues, errors within the game that force me to do a reload (often in them middle of a fight) or relog completely, strange problems with game function (ie a character forced to walk at a slow pace which can only be fixed by logging off!!!) or falling through the world into some nevernever land.

* the ridiculous inventory system that limits players to tiny bank and bag options making it pretty well essential to create all their possible characters and set up their own records to keep track of where everything is. I mean, jeez louise, why not give each character a bank so that they can manage their own materials? If that taxes your server so much, perhaps you need to revisit your limitations.

* The inability to send mail to your own characters, which further clogs up your bank inventory so that you have to log from toon to toon to toon to try and make space and collect items.

* No search option for guild stores, so that you have to scan through hundreds of items to find what you want.

* An apparent inability to control gold sellers and bots. I have been in areas of play where there are literally dozens of bots interfering with my game experience, roaming in packs killing and farming, going into dungeons, etc. Some of these bots are, for example, over level 20, so they weren't created in the last 5 minutes, yet they continue to flourish. And the constant gold selling in chat and the in game mails sent to me are literally driving me out of the game. At times I just get so annoyed I have to log off.

As far as the game errors are concerned, I realise this is a new game and I have allowed for that, but after almost a month, and after what I assume is a long period of beta testing, I find the number and frequency of errors to be, frankly, unacceptable.

ESO has enormous potential; it is visually stunning and the lore is extensive and complex. But until you get a handle on the botters and gold farmers, and until you fix issues that make play difficult and annoying, you are going to have people like me who leave the game. My intent at the moment is to cancel my sub and revisit the game sometime down the track to see if you have fixed these issues. If not, I will be returning to WoW for my game time.

Of course, if everyone were to take your attitude there'd be no game for you to come back to, would there?
