Bit tedious but not as much as having to change them all with every character.
1. Create and log on to your new character with the add-on installed. Exit the game.
2. Go to "C:\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables"
3. Open the .lua file of the add-on with Notepad
4. You will see a list with your character names. Find the character which you have configured the settings for (can use Ctrl + F)
5. Copy the text from the line below the character's name all the way until you reach the next character's name
6. Find your new character that you want to apply the settings to.
7. Highlight the text from the line below your new character's name until you reach the next character's name and replace it by pasting the text copied before
8. Save and exit notepad
9. Test it out.
10. Repeat for other characters
I also found a bit of coding at the top of SOME of the setting files that may enable you to apply settings to all character's for that add-on. You can try this by pasting the "AccountWide" command under where it has your account name and then posting your configured settings below that i.e.
" ["@Account-Name"] =
{
["$AccountWide"] =
{
["myconfiguredsetting1"] = 0.400000,"
Again haven't tried this and might not get to for a while so if someone could take a look if this works and report back that would be great! If it works, I might even have a go at making an add-on to do this if i get time.
Dude, stop trolling and derailing my thread. All I want is that I dont have to rebind 40 keys (I'm left-handed and I play with uhjk), recolor all 5 guild chats so they dont all look the same every time I start a new character. This is standard for every game that allows you to have multiple characters in an account, I'm completely baffled on why you are mentioning WoW, I never even played it.
I'm saying multiple characters, not MMO's exclusively. I have only played GW2 on the last year, which btw has account-wide settings, but you can also find things easily such as Profiles on other games, on the top of my head I remember Crysis 2 has this and also any emulator. It's such a simple thing that I can't even remember who has it, it's easier knowing who doesn't.Dude, stop trolling and derailing my thread. If this is such a standard feature, name all of the MMO's that have it.....
In the grand scheme of things, taking a minute or two to rebind a few keys if you do not like the default binds, takes up so little time it is hardly worth mentioning.

Apparently you do since you went out of your way to tell us it's your thread. /facepalm
I have 4 alts, one of each class and I constantly switch between them for crafting, the way it is right now each character has a different Settings configuration (controls, chat, video, etc.) and it's painfully annoying to rebind every key, recolor every chat channel for all my 4 alts, is there a way to import those settings from my main character to my alts?

I'm betting you changed group chat color to blue, emote color to an orange, whisper color to a purple and maybe zone chat to a light pinkish.... Maybe your just wanting familiar settings?
My suggestion... Stop playing an MMO the same way you always do and be happy the devs are working on expansion and patches with serious meat in them.
Don't let WoW take over this world... It will destroy another MMO.
