I have 4 alts, one of each class and I constantly switch between them for crafting, the way it is right now each character has a different Settings configuration (controls, chat, video, etc.) and it's painfully annoying to rebind every key, recolor every chat channel for all my 4 alts, is there a way to import those settings from my main character to my alts?

Work Wonderfully

I'm betting you changed group chat color to blue, emote color to an orange, whisper color to a purple and maybe zone chat to a light pinkish.... Maybe your just wanting familiar settings?
My suggestion... Stop playing an MMO the same way you always do and be happy the devs are working on expansion and patches with serious meat in them.
Don't let WoW take over this world... It will destroy another MMO.

Settings export/import, or some equivalent means to apply settings to alts, is fairly standard in online games. I was a little surprised ESO doesn't have it.
Frankly I have a hard time seeing that as a major development-distracting project that would somehow derail other projects. Lets be realistic here, and only make such claims if we know what we're talking about.

At work now, but has anyone looked into My Documents if there is a ZOS folder with character profiles? I know in some games you can simply copy those and rename them
Nonetheless, the overall viewpoint being put forward is not to have a single feature that is anything like a single feature in WoW (you know that blisteringly popular and successful of MMOs) because that would somehow make the game fail.

Let me say this my thick-skulled friend:
Every... and I mean EVERY MMO that has modeled itself after the "blisteringly popular" WoW.... has failed.
Think about that as you go back and read my comment again... then read it again... and then read it one more time until you actually get the point behind what I am saying.

OT: At least it allows you to copy all the settings from one character to another very easily since they are stored in the game folder. Why do people even involve WoW? It doesn't have this feature
There's no keybindings in this file, no chat tabs, chat colors, ...Anyways:
C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\SavedVariables\ZO_Ingame.lua
it's a text file

Very seriously, though, this is critical

Critical.
Handy? Yes. Important? I could see that. Critical? Uh, no.
I have a similar issue. I just did what I needed to get it done.
I also figure that as I get more used to the game and the way it works, I will be making more changes. Some specific to a character and some shared by more than one of them.
