While fishing last night I thought to myself, I'd like to get more stuff from fishing. I get the odd pile of kelp and bunch of trout, but it could be nice to occasionally fish up a piece of an item set, or a cosmetic or nik-nak, or something. Also rod styles/cosmetics could be a thing, but that's going off topic.

I wouldn't mind super rare drops but they would need to be 100% tradeable. If something random is bound to your account without an alternative means to obtain it, the desire to get something super rare drops significantly. It becomes less of an "OH YEAH!!! I got it!" moment to a "Oh....I got it....neat I guess" moment.

Personally I would rather we got away from rng stuff in this game as much as possible. This is coming from someone who is on I think day 5 of trying to get one more purple lead drop in Betnikh (ayleid well) and my desire to play the game is really going down as a result. The only reason I'm even trying to get it in the first place is for a very pointless codex entry that I could just read online. The thing is that there is literally no other way to obtain leads outside of yourself doing the task. (except for infinite archive but as far as I am aware is only 2 gold leads a week and none of them have been a lower quality) Leads would be great if they were tradeable I would even be happy with a store that weekly switches out leads of some random ones for a decent amount of gold. The fact that the drop rates almost mimic my time with the anniversary event is the reason why rng is starting to become a major topic.
