Won't let me play

So I just clicked to open up elder scrolls online, and I am on the download and play screen and whenever I click Play an error thing saying it has crashed pops up does that happen to anyone else.

I am so irritated at this point. The Play button Grays out when i click it and the game doesn't launch from the launcher or the Zenimax Online folder in C:\Programs(x86)\Zenimax Online\. If you (Zenimax) don't understand my frustration, then realize that I hate the launcher issues while I love the game. I have only played 2 or 3 times since launch and I think you all need to get the launcher issues fixed for everyone with no exception.

Have you tried selecting Game Options -> Repair?

Did you try just going through eso.exe?
I use launcher only on patch days and didn't have problems so far.

Ditto, I was having problems to, then dropped using the launcher except for patch time and now I am in smooth.
Also I no longer have that annoying freeze 'hang' time without the launcher in the background
