I just thought of a potential disastrous mechanism that shall not go live.
from pts 10.1.0
Scripts acquired from Daily Quest Coffers and world drops will no longer have variable levels or sell values. They will always be level 1 and always sell to vendors for 999 gold.

If I understand it correctly, you can pick up one script from the mages guild hall, and then sell it to a merchant for 999 (rounded to 1k) gold, as them being world drops.

Now, I summon out my merchant assistant beside me, pick up the script, sell to him immediately, then the script would appear again where it was. This process takes no more than 10s. If I repeat it endlessly, that's 360k per hour.
This can be some boring repeatation but the gain is solid and untouched by randomness, what more importantly, it generates golds out of no where (outside player's possession). I can already imagine just as people use auto daily writ addons, you can write scripts to do the work of grabbing and selling scripts. with multiple accounts (10 for example) running simultaneously, you really can get something like 100M a day.
I'm not going to further elaborate my hypothesises on how the illicit gold will flow around, but as how various actions of this type still exist, gold generated from this source will eventually flow into the market and causes huge inflation.

Please do not let this go live. Prevent this from happenning from the source of it. My proposition is that either do not give world drop scripts any valaue or little to no value, or make them unsellable.

Did you actually test this on PTS? I don't see any evidence it's working that way.

They've never called Mages Guild scripts "world drops," as they are always available once you meet the requirements.

    From PTS right now:

All of my alts have all of their droppable scripts. I was kind of looking forward to being able to vendor them until I read this.

You can still vendor dropped scripts for 999 gold.

The nine Mages Guild scripts aren’t drops in that they aren’t gated by effort, time, or chance. They are statically placed and guaranteed to be available on any character immediately once the relevant wing quest is done on the account (that’s a level 6 character with no Scribing or much of anything else done in that screenshot above). These nine scripts can be regenerated indefinitely and immediately on demand. It makes sense they aren’t included in the new pricing scheme to avoid the bank trick becoming a viable exploit.
