Cry me a river, there is 20000 posts a day about this, don't you think we have enough?
By the way, it's 10:40 pm and kids should be asleep long time ago...

In the beginning I was worried about this because I was seeing them everywhere. But I haven't seen a single bot the last couple of weeks since I've been questing in Deshaan. So they don't seem to be nearly so wide-spread or prevalent as they used to be.

So while this is a problem I'll admit - it's one that has gotten significantly better. At least in my experience. So to say it has destroyed the game is a bit of an exaggeration I think.

It's an issue, but one they seem to be effectively dealing with.

Not me. I haven't seen a single one, and I think I've almost completed the entire area. I am up to Saint Veloth's shrine I think it was called and done all of the world bosses, anchors and dungeons I know of. None of them were camped by a single bot. Where as right after the game was released I saw an army of bots camping everything of worth.

So I'm confused as to why some people seem to see so many while I see none. Maybe the GMs are more active in some shards than others. All I can guess.

So what the hell are you doing up? I'm impressed you can tell the time though.

There are lots of these posts cause people that care about the game are pissed off about the bots.

If you don't like these posts just ignore them or shut your face!

The sooner you stop posting anything here, the sooner Zeni will realise there is definetly something wrong.
By here i mean whole forums.
    No comunication, zero, null.
The fact there is so much activity here, they probably think that 'all is good'.
Just look at these people, they keep posting all the time, there is a forum activity, loads of it, 400 pages of topics just in CS forums.
At least you could post something constructive.

If you complete certain quests in that area, you're phased into a different megaserver instance. (For people doing the same questline). The bots don't quest. It's the same with Cold Habor, if you go there it's full of bots. Thousands of them. If you do one quest (don't want to say for spoilers) you no longer see any bots as you're phased to a different server instance.

That could account for some of it. But when I first started playing this game I saw bots all over the place while I was questing. I no longer see this - and haven't seen a single bot army camping anything in at least a week. So that leads me to think its getting better and they are effectively dealing with the problem.

If others have different experiences that's fine and I take them at their word. But I feel I owe it to the developers to point out where I have seen improvements since I am often so vocal about my critiques ^^

Oh, yeah, don't get me wrong - it's definitely getting better on the bot front. Just look at public dungeons - they actually work now. The botters are getting more intelligent too - bots that run underground and fly in the air to avoid being seen or reported.

They've started position-hacking instead so they are under the ground or up in the air. That may account for the lower number you're "noticing" - they're still there, they've just gotten better at evading detection.

There is probably some truth to what you say. But it seems forcing them to go underground has not only helped alleviate their presence but their effectiveness also. Because I was unable to claim or get credit for many of the boss monsters when I first started playing the game. They were immediately seized upon and slaughtered before I could even seen them.

But I've had no trouble recently. Because as I mentioned in an earlier post, I've been able to successful clear every dungeon, anchor, and world boss in Deshaan that I know of without having any issue with bots. So that's why I say it's getting better.

Hey, all. We want to assure you that we take the botting issue very seriously, and, as Game Director Matt Firor recently stated, we will continue to battle them. We encourage players to report bots in-game to our Support Team, who will be sure to investigate, and GMs who are routinely booting bots from the game. We know that this can be frustrating, and appreciate everyone's patience. We are now closing this thread as there are several other threads on this topic already open. Thank you.
