Is My Billing and Personal Information Safe with ESO?

So I was just in Stros M'kai on a new nightblade leveling up. I see an iron ore node just a few feet in front of me and head toward it. Granted this was on a small island there - and out of the corner of my eye I see a figure moving at about light speed towards the node. They were literally running a few feet above the water and blatantly speed hacking / along with levitating.

So, as I close in on the iron ore which was on an elevated part of the island, the "speedy - levitating figure" suddenly disappears into the rock cropping, and before I can get to the node I can hear it being taken via the rock pick noise. They were totally invisible. I was waiting by the node to see if they appeared long enough so I could report them, but nope.

Suddenly they reappear in the distance happily levitating and moving at light speed over the water.

So as my title says Is my actual Billing and Personal Information Safe in this game?

I mean if hackers are getting away with murder still after all the time in beta and a month after release, how is ZoS supposed to stop the hackers from hacking into their billing system as well....because we all know they are sure running rampant in the game.

I know we can't stop bots, and Zos has actually did a very good job slowing both the gold sellers and botters down! But man, I still say there is absolutely Zero excuse to have hacks still running in this game. Every MMO that I have played had a zero tolerance for hacking (all mainstream mmorpgs..I missed out on a lot of the lesser known ones over my 15 years of playing) and it's disheartening to see them in this game that I really enjoy.
I didn't think my hangover was that bad this morning until I spent 10 minutes trying to log into my old Etch-A-Sketch

Well I just caught one and reported him. I was by a quest guy and saw someone moving at warp speed with just their head barely above the ground. I ran to a maple log that was just a few feet away - they were gathering a wood node and I could hear the log being axed, though they were invisible.

I was able to get their name to appear via the interact option luckily, something like "btfggg" and reported them for hacking. Was a totally different person than my first post though, as that hacker was a female character, the second one was a male character.

They are not hackers, they are bots

There is a difference between manipulation of the client and hacking a secure database with encrypted information.
Your information is as safe with ZOS as any other company, take that as you will. ;)

The game and payment systems are totally separate. Zenimax use a merchant called Global Collect who host and handle CC billing. The game itself is a total mess security wise, bots can fly and go underground to farm resources by turning off collision detection.

While the credit card information is indeed separate from the lack of in-game memory hacking detection (a la WoW's "Warden"), the billing fiascoes that ZOS have experienced have led me to believe that no, I don't trust them with my financial information. I'm still debating whether to re-sub, and if I do, it'll be through a game time card purchased from Amazon or similar.

Well, being that I know absolutely zilch about hacking or cheating, this statement makes me feel a whole lot better. Thank you.

And the "sorc using bolt escape comment" got a laugh out of me!

Doubt it considering all of the billing issues this game has
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.
