Do Armor traits still work if broken?

If I have a pair of legs lets say light armor. They have the trait on them "training". Ok so im using them they break, theyre at 0/50 armor rating and red. If I wear these I can still get exp in the light armor skill line. So my question now is, does the trait "training" still grant me the +22% experience on light armor even though the armor piece is broken?

Macorichiub17_ESO2Soul ShrivenThats what I was assuming, but you still gain armor experience in the skill line. So thats why I was wondering in this specific case since it has to do with experience or even in general if the trait of the armor still works.0

✭Exp still works, but the once an armor slot is at zero, no bonus work anymore (enchantment, traits, set bonuses etc)0
