Break free doesn't work sometimes even with 100% stamina remaining. You'll eat the full crowd control duration. Also there's some bugs like Fossilize + Leap that will prevent break free. It's been happening for years.

Can that be counteracted with Precognition?

Precognition has been bugged since it released as well. It often simply doesn't work.

It's the new scribing skill. I use it on my NB and it is 3 seconds long, you can't roll dodge out of it but you can use immobility detect potions to get out of it.

It stops for 3 seconds, gives me resources back and also increases my weapon and spell damage by 215 for 20 seconds which works great with Viscous Death and Tarnished as both increase damage off of those two stats . I can spam it and it uses magika (which I don't use) and get back stamina during the fight which is really nice. You can also build other scribing skills off of it to cause breach etc. It's also great for disrupting ball groups as it breaks them up when they try to run together, usually one or two get stuck in place.

I don't get why games pile on CC effects while minimizing counterplay. Just about any PvP game these days turns into a free-to-wait experience.

Hadn't thought about it like that but true. I guess it's a selling point for Gold Road. Mostly utility stuff for scribing but useful for things like this.

I've ran into a few other people using some scribing skills in PVP and it's hard to build to get around a lot of them. There was one the other day where I was just able to cloak at all when near the other person. I don't know what it was but it wasn't a potion. In that respect it's either buy Gold Road or be handicapped.
