Necro Class Signature Script needs a tweak.

Necro's need a lot of help right now. They are in a very bad spot. And the class script isn't helping. At the least, since scribing is the focus of this patch currently...can you teak the Necro script to be helpful, beneficial, and usable by both ranged and melee Necros.

Much like the Sorc class script needed the change and GOT IT...YAY!!!

The Necro also is usable only for melee ranged Necros when it comes to Corpse generation.

Considering ranged Necro's are already in need of so much, this is at leas something, they can have, yes?

This is even more pertinent when choosing Sacrificial over Blighted Blastbones....as the Sacrificial morph has created a very ROUGH corpse generation system that still is lacking, if ranged, and trying to use two skills that need corpses. It also pigeonholes the player by forcing them to use Skulls as the spammable to have any hopes at having corpses.

The class script could go a long way in helping remedy this corpse problem, but not as is, as the corpse falls at your feet, and not at the target location. Thus it does not add anything beneficial, and keeps the class in its same state.

By switching the Class script to generate a corpse at the target location, it could free up more choices in spammables, morphs to skills, and help create enough corpses for Ranged Necro's to use.

    Good idea, too bad this topic won’t even be read by the devs, because it has the word “necro” in its title.

    It's like ZOS doesn't even realize that this is pretty much exactly the same issue. If the Corpse/Shock AoE is generated on the target it is ALWAYS useful, if it is generated around your character it is SOMETIMES useful.

    This is like... the same argument that they used to change the first iteration of Grave Lord's Sacrifice so that it continued to provide ranged Corpse generation via Flame Skull(still a crappy morph tho). Why do Necro players have to keep pointing out obvious design flaws, they literally had a skill with the same issue just 3 months ago.

    Stuff like this is what makes me think if they even play Necromancer or have any idea how the different Corpse generating/consuming skills work?

    I would not count on any changes. You can expect more nerfs... ehh adjustments.

    There is a ongoing campaign to keep necro down.

    Dot nerf after Elweyr
    Harmony Nerf
    edit: bashing
    Second Dot nerf
    Elemental Succession nerf

    It is always when necros find something useful in the game that it gets obliterated in the next patch.

    Just bringing this back from last PTS cycle as nothing was done with the Necro Class script.

    They have now added a damage proc Necro only set that uses corpses...though is very lacking. However, it again is made EVEN HARDER to use on a ranged Necro because of again the above issue.

    They also worked on Class Scripts this patch....BUT DID NOT ADDRESS THIS.....

    So I am trying to move it back to the top to maybe gain traction.
