The glow is only there when it’s too late to block and sound cue doesn’t help in big fights like in Cyrodiil. When there are hundreds of players on each side you can’t keep track of each meteor cast in the vicinity. And you will always hear it whether it’s being cast by an ally or enemy or at you.Turtle_Bot wrote: »Haven't noticed a similarity between the 2 when others are using the skill style, but at least when I am using the style, there is a massive orange glow for the entire screen depicting that the ultimate was the one being cast, that I haven't seen on the skoria monster set (unless that got changed the past few patches).
There is also still the sound cue to differentiate the 2. The ultimate has such a distinctive sound that the monster set doesn't have.
I still instinctively block every time I hear it (and am not the one casting it), even in PvE zones
Skill styles shouldn’t affect gameplay even a little, if they do then they shouldn’t have existed at all. Possible confusion was a concern for players when styles were announced. Unfortunately, it appears to have been justified.Zyaneth_Bal wrote: »The glow is only there when it’s too late to block and sound cue doesn’t help in big fights like in Cyrodiil.
