I will note that I also found a "missed item" along the way earlier when the fox stopped before the point noted just above. I couldn't find a missed on for that stage, though you should never have to go back to find the things to disperse!
I figured out a way around it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iwmPGAHd2w&t=1s&ab_channel=NyassaV
For the fox quest, if you fall off the floating platform, it only ports you back to the start of the platform route, it doesn't force you to restart the whole quest. It's inconvenient, of course, I'm not disputing that.aetherial_heavenn wrote: »Scribing.

It seems that if you fall and die or port to wayshrine at the start of the dungeon, or exit, the quest marker disappears and so do actual the focus points. I have 2/3 done in this last stage of the quest but the quest marker now points to the exit (to the quest line bestower?) There is no sign of the last focus point anywhere. I used maps and ran around all the spawn points to make sure. I am reluctant to abandon.
This has happened to others.
It maybe the same issue as with the fox quest line discussed above. If you fall it breaks the quest progress. Then the only choice is to start the whole thing again

I can see a couple of wards in the distance but they are too far away. I can get a little further with using an AOE to show the path but then that just leads me back to the fox still stuck in mid-air. This is majorly broken.
Of course just jumping off the path does nothing.

Thanks for this it was the only thing that worked!

I know you already got it finished, finally, but for anyone else's benefit I just want to point out that if you see wards that are too far away and you can't interact with them, they're actually for the next leg(s) of the path, so just ignore those and dispel the wards which are close enough to interact with. I think there's something like 2 on the first leg, 3 on the second leg, and 3 more on the third leg, but it's been a few weeks since I did it so I might be wrong.

If the fox gets stuck, just walk directly from the fox toward the point where the path is supposed to end. About a meter or two before you reach the "landing" spot, take a slight left and keep walking.
The path is still there, it's just not lit up/it's invisible. So walking it is a bit more challenging, but you can do it.

I will try this Kevin, thank you. I’ll let you know.
There is a way to cheese it. If you have a ground AOE like wall of the elements, you can use it to see where the path is to continue forward until you can reach the symbols in the sky. I had to do this after I fell, and after I used one of the ward symbols farther on the path the fox started moving again.
I did not know about this bug until I tried to follow the fox after today's update. The fox stopped like it has for others. I kept walking and I fell. The problem was that the path did not reset. The fox went back to the beginning and just sat there and the quest could not progress.
The concern I have that almost a month after the launch, this is still a quest buster. I do not have the time to attempt this ten to fifteen times. I would like to echo the poster who asked that the time to get the mount achievement be extended. I would add that the extension be for 30 days after this quest is fixed.
