don't spend it all at once

How much gear loot dropped and what would you have gotten from selling to a merchant? The gold is in the drops you merchant fodder.

The only bug here is that you managed to solo it, a 'world boss' should never be soloable by any class with any build

Depends if you have killed other world bosses within a certain timescale. From Patch Notes 1.0.6;

Adjusted the time after you loot a delve or overworld boss before you are eligible to receive loot from these types of bosses again.

Note it says types of bosses so if you killed any other world bosses it can effect the loot table. Perhaps being in a group with others that did but not sure on that.

Also, if the NPC is more than five levels below you then you wont get loot or XP.

Personally I always get loot including blue or purple items when first killing a world boss the first time though not always getting the achievement.

So, it may be that certain loot tables are incorrect so submit a bug for each time it happens so they are aware.

Very good explanation that we should sticky! I also get things the first time, I don't farm them so I don't know what would happen in the second though.

4 gold however is 4 times more than one of those nasty goblins dropped me earlier so it actually factors in your effort

A good player can accomplish grand feats ^^

I go back to my last post ... A world boss should never be soloable, it doesn't matter how 'good' the player is.

After a momentous battle which ended in the slaying of the mighty Mannimarco, King of Worms it seemed all he had in his pocket was a measly 14 gold. Looks like he has hefty repair bills too

But then, who needs weapons when you can raise the dead to fight for you so maybe it's reasonable.
