[Graphics] Beetles in Alki'r Causing horrible lag

I made it to Alki'r Desert area, where I came across these wierd bug animations/graphics that caused me sever drops in FPS when I ran through or came close to them.

I'm talking a drop from 60 to 10 or below.

This can be very dangerous and down right death causing when fighting near them. I am not sure if this is a bug (er no pun intended since it is a beetle) because I see them a lot over the desert, or something on my end as I haven't seen anyone else comment about it.

I put in bug reports about them before as well. Now I have a pretty darn good computer in regards to video card and the like. So I'm surprised such a graphic could slow me down so much.

I had the same issues but only when I jumped in the little round oasis things. I would jump in and had the same problems you describe. Jumped out and all was back to normal.
I bugged it as it definitely wasn't client side. There's something funky in the desert there for sure.

Jup, it's like hundreds of "smoke puff" effects stacked, that happen when the beetle emerges from the ground, when they bug out, they cause insane framerate loss.

I /bugged this last week, most likely others did too. I suspect it's lower on the fix priority list because it doesn't really impede gameplay - just don't run through their auras.

Also submitted /bug report for these. Can cause lower end computers to crash out. For me just brings FPS right down.

Yeah exactly the same. I bugged it way back at the start. Its not just one but there's quite a few of them. Its like they consist of a mass of polygons or whatever. I also got the issue in the round water holes also.

Yes in the water holes too.

And I do suggest not walking through them, but I've also had slowdown when going near therm, or if they are in my vicinity, such as when I am fighting.
