Do you think we'll ever see him, or interact with the greybeards? Are they greybeards even around at this time? You can go to invarstead by the 7,000 steps are blocked.

Yes, the greybeards exist in ESO's timeframe as they were founded during the first era. I'd love to be able to visit them and would also love a skill line focusing on the Thu'um.

Wasn't so forbidden when I collected the bones and scales from his carcass and fashioned brand new armor out of it.

The other one I'm wondering about is Yagrum Bagarn, for all the other Morrowind nerds out there. It would be pretty awesome to meet the last living Dwemer. I'm not sure when he caught Corprus, and it'd be kind of cool to meet him when he doesn't resemble a hutt.

Also, Divayth Fyr, his caretaker, should be around at this point as well, though maybe at this point still a young sorcerer.

Ah, but that will be in Skyrim. Kill him at ESO and you'll have the dragon paradox.

Maybe the 7,000 steps and the Throat of the World will unlock when they open up the Whiterun Hold? I'm not sure that zone was part of the Rift in Skyrim, and it may not be here either.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get across with this post, are you trying to say The Throat of the World and 7,000 steps aren't apart of The Rift? Because it most certainly is, you can walk up the first couple of steps in Ivarstead, but there's a collapsed tree blocking the path, but I greatly look forward to Whiterun and Markarth eventually being added to the game, especially Markarth.

This is where there has to be some flexibility in the lore between a single player game and an MMO. Betheseda in the old days couldnt predict there would be an MMO, so some adjustments will have to be made to allow for the content that we would like to see.

This game could follow a natural flow of the games series, so maybe several years down the road, this MMO would catch up to Skyrim.

Yes and all male Dunmer in their home province deliberately damage their vocal chords to have a gravelly voice.
You expect much from a series that rarely follows it's own rules.

I find it hard to imagine going through nearly 1000 years worth of lore in 7 years, if ever, and are you also implying our simple humans and mer and beasts can live a thousand years? Or do they just release a new ESO 2 where we have to make new characters, because we all know how well that's worked out before, no, I don't think that's going to happen and also the problems that come with completely recreating the content with all new quests and zones, that's more than just work of an expansion, Blizzard did that with Cataclysm, and now we all want old azeroth pre-cata back. That would also involve us playing through arena, daggerfall, morrowind, oblivion and skyrim all over again, which I'm not okay with, well except seeing morrowind and oblivion rebuilt with this engine that would be cool, but I still find it incredibily unlikely.

Just saying people should not expect to be able to reach the top of the Throat of the World if they manage to visit the monastery.

Note we (well, maybe I should have taken the safer road and written "I" instead of "we") don't even know if f this very area will ever be present at ESO. Personally, I'd rather not. The odds of SNAFUs at prequels is not small.

Sure, one can always draw the "alternate realities due to time travel" card. Add lens flare, big explosions and disregard most of the previous material. 'Cause that's how to make money.

OK, enough of my continuity pornographer rants for now.
+1 nerd point for those who got the meaning...

Actually what I was getting at was that in Skyrim I think that the Throat of the World was part of the Whiterun Hold worldspace; so I'm guessing it is in ESO as well, and therefore will be opened up with Whiterun. Mind you that's just conjecture (I haven't even gone back into Skyrim to check) but it's going to be interesting to find out.

And, me too - I'm going to be very curious to see how Whiterun, Markarth, Solitude and Winterhold will look.

Whiterun should be a mini pvp zone along the lines of Cyrodiil where you get to be Thane for 5 minutes.

Yes! This would be amazing! Even just some sort of throwback to Morrowind would be really cool!
