Norg-Tzel, however, has been hanging in there like a sticky dingleberry since Murkmire, despite having no wayshrines in it at all and only ever being accessed via one quest. I don't even understand how it snuck into the Map UI to begin with, never mind why it's stayed there for years.
Wrong. Eyeveya could be found doing a main quest by Mages Guild for YEARS. Only a lot of players simply never care to explore quest.

Grayhome is also on the map without a wayshrine.
they exist on the map because they exist which seems fine to me. i like being able to look at those zones from the world map.

Not the map itself. The map locations list. Norg-Tzel has been there since launch for some weird reason and has no way to even get there. The Earth Forge, which actually has a wayshrine, is still not in the list.
